I tried this beer at my boss' house. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had floral tones with ripe fruit. The taste leaned sour with tart cherry presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was ok.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy pale golden with a fluffy eggshell white head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. There's minor sediment. The aromas have some hints of funk along with some yeasts and malts. The flavors seem to follow the nose. It's starts off tart and sweet, but becomes more balanced the more you get into it. Hints of vinegar and white wine. Some lemon and citrus in the finish. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with moderate to carbonation. It's smooth and easy to drink.

This is a solid brew. It's unique for the style. It's refreshing and enjoyable stuff.

12 oz serving tasted in a snifter from draught at Firkin on November 10, 2017. Tart farmhouse ale blended with 10% Cabernet barrel aged house saison. Very good.

I was somewhat surprised by this one. I've seen it on shelves for months now but my first time trying it, was not expecting it to be such a deep sour. Plenty of funk, and refreshing carbonation and feel to it. This is a wild ale I can anticipate enjoying in warmer months quite a bit. Wine and fruit salad notes come out from the barrel. Leaves the feel of a fizzy fruit candy. Dry finish leaves you satisfied - if you're looking for a mid range sour then you came to the right place.

Pours light hazy, yellow. Foamy, medium, white head fades fast.

Smells citrus, lemon, light grassy, plenty of tart fruit and other yeast funk notes.

Tastes light tart apple, citrus, yeast funk. Tartness fades quickly to a dry finish with light yeast hints and Orange peel. Medium body and fizzy higher carbonation.

Aww. A kitter kat. And a french man showering himself with beer. My kind of label.

This starts with a hazy blonde pour, with tiny effervescent bubbles cresting up to the head, forming a 3 finger head, and rapidly diminishing to a thin ring, but saving moss on the top for a solid appearance.

Aromas of saltines, nectarine, and pineapple. Pale malt. Salt continues through the nose.

Dumptrucks of tasteless salt to start, following with peach and nectarine flesh, some caramel malt (40 lov) and crystal malts. A slight herbal quality freshens it up towards the finish.

Feel is crisp, refreshing, carbonated, tight. Love how this is panning out.

Overall, this is one sick ass Saison. I am ashamed for not picking up more. Easily one of the best beers I've had from Chicago yet. Saisons do not have to be boring (as so many of them are...yawn), they can be fruity, herbal, and tasty, as this beer proves. Recommended.

Poured from a 12oz can. Light golden cloudy color, nice head that won't quit, beer is pretty carbonated.
Initial smell was of bread and faint spice.
Very light bodied on the taste. Not as much spice (pepper like) flavor as I've had in most saisons. Some lemon notes from the lacto.
What came across here is what a wonderful light bodied (comparatively) beer this is. The lacto gives it just a hint of bitterness that balances off perfectly between the malt and light hops profile. This is an absolute gem for a hot summer day. So glad I picked this up.
