Pours crystal clear with large carbonation bubbles gently floating upwards. Thin fizzy white head dissipates quickly leaving some spotty large copay bubbles on top of the beer. No lacing.

Smell has notes white grapes, apple, a bit of funk, wheat, spices, and some wine notes.

Taste has notes of white grape, green apple, slight sweetness coming from those flavors, overarching wine flavor. The wheat base is just that, a base that really fades into the background with the light bret funk and white wine flavors standing out. Nicely balanced especially on the brett - its just enough to add depth and a touch of funk, but not enough to keep this from being very drinkable. Between the brett, the wine barrel aging, and the overall flavor profile this tastes nothing like a traditional wit. Definitely a wild ale.

Feel is pretty light, but the ABV provides a bit of a coating syrupy note. I almost think the ABV should be toned down to make this a more drinkable beer.

Overall this is a really nicely crafted wild ale. Very approachable and drinkable. This was the first Whiner beer that I've had that I am genuinely impressed with.

Brettanomyces = Wild yeast = Wild ale. AWA ≠ sour.

Lightly hazed pale orange, thin layer of foam and spotty lacing.
Smells and tastes like a wet moldy dishrag. Funky, metallic, mineral. Blech.
Hopefully they can refine this and reign in the off notes, Brett is a wondrous thing when used right. Meanwhile, back to the drawing board...

Another great can (all loaded with felines), another great bier. As of this weekend I am a fan of this brewer.

This one opens as a pretty yellow, cloudy brew, with nice lacing and fine bubbles. The aroma is a hoppy, wheat yeasty smell. Nice.

The taste is a mildly bitter balanced wheat beer taste. The fancy refinements add subtle character. Bitter but not overly so. The aftertaste lingers wheat-like. It completely works and it is very refreshing.

Recommended.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy golden with a big chunky white head that sticks around leaving great thick retention and frothy lacing. The aromas are on the mild side. Some wheat and malts along with some subtle hints of citrus. The flavors are clean and refreshing. The cabernet wine barrels are hard to pick up. Some wheat and fresh grass. Finishes dry for the most part. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's light with moderate to active carbonation. It's very fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a solid brew. I guess I expected a little bit more of a wine barrel presence, but it's all good. It's a clean and refreshing beer.

Tasted in a pint glass from draft at the Vine on April 8, 2017. I believe the style here is incorrect. The brewery's web site lists this as a barrel-aged dry-hopped Belgian wheat not a wild ale. I'm glad I tried it, but I probably would not seek it out again.

I love the artwork and the annoying blue green color of the can. Inside, you get a beer that I honestly believe wants to be smaller than it's 6.8%, but what are you gonna do? I'll complain here that it should be a smaller beer as I believe the 6.8 abv it weighs in at coats the tongue. That may be the interior joke for why the cats on the can and also its name.
In the meantime however.
For aromatics. I get the wine notes from the hops. The cabernet comes through followed by some herbal hop aroma comes through as well. It's taste is lovely for this sub spring like weather and should make for a good spring to early summer kind of drinker. Some tartness. A bit more grape and wine barrel. A kind of mineralyness on the back of palate comes through as well.
