Poured from a can. Hazy golden color. Smells suspiciously like an iOS. Hoppy, citrus. Taste is dry, hoppy a bit of wheat in the taste, hard to get barrel aged, but overall an ok beer. Just doesn’t seem like a wheat

i think its amazing these cans have showed up in idaho, i have been a fan since the very beginning, and i hope this means more from these guys will be on the way. this is a cool beer for an affordable can too, a cabernet barrel aged bretty wheat brew, robustly flavored, well refined, and really different. weird looking can, but they have always had a funny aesthetic. this pours a shade or two darker than i thought it might, deep brass to bronze toned beer with some haze, super lively though, over an inch of whipped thick white head and tons of carbonation, definitely has a can conditioned look and feel to it. the aroma here is somewhat subtle compared to the taste, but the wine barrels are obvious both from the tannic element thats on display and from the rich vanilla layer the oak contributes. i do get some subtle berry tang too, raspberry and cranberry maybe from the grapes. the brett is a little medicinal but also kind of minimal, more belgian yeast than brett to me, pears and green apples, a light white pepper aspect, and some more toasted character from the grain than anticipated. the flavor is wine forward, both from the barrel and from the hops, which give a white wine wrinkle to it and a neat fruity freshness that makes this a bit less heavy, nice choice of hops here with the hallertau blanc! the wheat is really fresh and flavorful and is bold enough in the mix to not be lost to the barrel treatment or the complex fermentation profile, it remains grainy and earthy. some nice funk as it warms, very little acidity, smooth and mellow from the wood, with vinous character all through it. i love the mix of belgian yeast and brett here, and overall am impressed with the depth of flavor in a beer that remains so drinkable, its dry and expansive on the palate with awesome carbonation and a pretty quick finish, even some refreshment value here, surprising for what it is. a very cool beer overall, but i love this sort of thing, cannot wait to try the other cans that showed up too! highly recommended!

Massive funky head. Didn’t realize it was sour...but still drinkable, not overwhelming.
