Brooklyner Weisse is the ultimate American wheat beer! it is a dark golden colour with a very frothy, white head. The aromas are of bananas, cloves, bubble-gum, and yeast. This stuff tastes like a little slice of heaven. The mouthfeel is perfect as is the drinkability.

This is the ultimate wheat beer. I am glad that they are finally bottling it!!!

Pours a golden yellow into my allagash glass. 3 finger head which disappears quickly no lacing.

Smells yeasty and malty sweet.

Taste is exceptional. Starts with a spicy yeast and ends with a malty sweet taste which coats your mouth.

Feels like velvetly soft in you mouth little carbonation.

This is one of my favorite heffes! I could drink it all night long. Another great beer from brooklyn.

The first time I tried a beer from this company, and I love it! A straight-up awesome brew... A nice golden-straw color leads to an appealing smell of wheat, banana and citrus... The taste is fruity and creamy - certainly more unique than some other varieties I've sampled... Easy drinkability and a good mouthfeel make this a top-notch brew that can be enjoyed any time... Definitely would recommend this one... Will certainly buy another sixer in the near future... Outstanding brew...

What a perfect American version of the classic German Hefeweizen. The typical light colored and hazy appearance. Aroma of bananas and slight clove hints. This beer tasted great, fresh from the local brewery - not stale from being shipped over half the globe. This is the way to enjoy a hefeweizen. The banana and clove flavors carry over to the taste, with a bit of tart apple. It is a treat to find this beer fresh and on tap. It will be an instant favorite if you are a wheat beer fan.

The specs: this poured a orange hued, beautiful opaque soft-gold color. Looks great in the rightful Brooklyner Weisse glass. Had a fairly good head with no sizable lace.

Smell was a healthily hearty (not over the top and overbearing) banana and cloves; and the fresher the batch of this brew, the more bubblegum esters will appear. Had a great malt backbone - it reminds of Duvel not in smell but in quality. Taste was of malt, wheat, nutmeg, all of which were extremely edible and satisfying, and were furthered by a citrusy brightness that rounds it all out toward the end. Also possessed a sharp but light sour in the middle of the swallow. Great light clove and big malt burp, too. Had an active but slightly softened hefe-weizen mouthfeel that accented the flavors extremely well. Ends on a crisp and clean finish, that quietly whispers "Drink More of Me, Soon!" I often sit back and enjoy the overall complexity covered in tons of estery content. Masterful.

The key to hefe-weisses is freshness, and despite loving the Weihenstephaner, its journey to America assuredly diminishes it. But Brooklyn is so close, so their kegs, especially at Mug's Ale House, are super fresh and help makes this highly rated. A personal favorite, have had way too few despite always trying to have at least one every outing in NYC. Everyone who has had this beer on draught in the city, please review it - it needs to be in the top 50 brews!!
