Good malty flavor. Was not too heavy, easy to drink.

Appearance: Pours a bright, deep brown color.

Overall: This beer has a variety of aromas containing sweet malt, a touch of chocolate and some nutty notes. The taste has good dark malt flavors of chestnut, chocolate, and touches of caramel malt sweetness. It also has a nice touch , fruity flavors as well. Brooklyn Brown Ale is a fantastic beer with lots of good malt and hop flavors.

Nothing wrong with this ale... but it could be more distinct. It could be closer to my bias of the malty, fruity ale; but that probably would take away from its dry aftertaste.

Reviewed in Roger Protz' " 300 Beers To Try Before You Die!"
MJ's 1999 edition have it 3 of 4 stars reviewing it as having become "more chocolatey, but is still nutty and dryish."
