On tap at Rogue in Vancouver.

A: 1/2" white head over honey/amber coloured liquid.

S: Faint smell of floral and citrus hops.

T: Tangerine citrus, floral and some pine hops over a honey malt backbone. Quite sweet.

M: Thin viscosity and medium to low level of carbonation.

O: An easy drinking and sweet IPA. Much less bitter than most.

Ok, I admit I am a lover of all the beers that come from the Brooklyn Brewery.
I am also a lover of India Pale Ales, so, I put this one to the test.
The pour was a semi golden, light amber color with a large but compact white head.
The first thing I noticed was a good strong hop aroma. I was almost anticipating some real bitter but good hops in the 90 to 110 IBU range.
I was surprise. The hops were there, no question about it, but the beer was perfectly balanced. Just the right about of malt and yeast to go along with the hops.
The taste was a nice comfortable bitter flavor. About perfect for my taste. The finish was long and what I really look for.
This was a very enjoyable IPA, going back to the origins of what IPAs were all about.
Thank you, Brooklyn Brewery.

Served in a Gale Sayers shaker pint glass.

Can't wait to try this back-to-back with the West India Pale Ale. ...(what's that?...isn't one?...but...)... It pours a clear lightly-rsusy brass topped by a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises pine resin, caramel, and light greens. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some nice cilantro. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Overall, a decently solid IPA, nothing exciting, but something I could see drinking again.
