Hazy orange, nice compact half finger white head that slowly recedes to a sticky lace.
Really cool hoppy smell, fruity with lots of citrus (tangerine, lime, pink grapefruit), bit of mango, faint melon, faint berry, but also herbal, some pine, peppermint, grass. Caramel malt to hold it down.
A really mixed, chaotic hoppy start, with stale fermenting peach and tangerine, mint liqueur, floral notes, lime juice, bitter grass. Grapefruit, lychee, kumquat/yuzu as it settles, with a bit of mango too. A bit of honeyed malt, but not much, quickly pummeled by pine resin, mint, faint dill and bitter leafy hops. Big fruity-herbal mix up.
Aftertaste is really hoppy, an agglomeration of English and American hops, leafy, spicy, earthy and dry at the same time. A fermenting fruitiness (alcohol a bit too present), with oranges dominating some other tropical and peach notes.
It deserves the name, truly a "blast" of hops, but not one that seems tailored before-hand, just simply.. thrown in there. Still quite good, and i'm not really a fan of Brooklyn brews.

L-Hazy peach colored

S-Bursting with aroma...a lot of tropical fruits up front...mango, papaya, pineapple. Also strong notes of limes and lemons....

T-Lives up to the aroma...nice sweet fruitiness...same as the aroma but now add in some citrus (mandarin oranges, tangerines, light grapefruit) as well...malt gives off a sweeter honey like flavor....

F-Right on the mark for a DIPA...Perfect body for this beer. Not particularly hot or boozy, about what you'd expect for the style.

O-This is a top tier DIPA in my book. Reminds me of Hopslam from a few years back. Love the multitude of fruit flavors and aromas and the sweeter honeyed malt dimension. Great beer!
