Pours a deep orange with a big off white foam head. A little murky. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Decent retention and lacing.

Strong citrus hops and pine. I'm getting a bit of funk as well. Floral hops. A little bit of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Alcohol comes through a bit upon agitation.

Taste has more of the citrus, a little muted, with notes of orange, peach, pineapple, mango. Subtle caramel. Strong pine resin. And heavy hops. Fruity burst grows in strength as the beer warms. One of those beers that really improves as it warms.

Some pleasant pine notes give it a nice stickiness going down.
One of the more subdued DIPAs, but masterfully balanced, and very tasty. Easy to drink despite the bit of stickiness. Not much alcohol is evident. Overall, this would be a very good beer to start with for someone not ready to take on the most intense of DIPAs. Gives you a good sense of what flavors you'll be seeing, and the hops aren't gonna put you on your butt. Overall a solid and easy drinker.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Amber color with a one-finger head
S: Burnt orange, tropical fruit and toffee
T: Matches the nose. A touch on the sweet side
M: Medium-bodied, a touch thick from the sweetness
O: A solid, well-made IPA though I prefer a bit drier style
