On draft in the Newark airport after missing a connecting flight to Portland, OR. A very pretty, almost lemon-yellow with a small, pure white head that leaves a bit of lace. Slightly muted aromas of yeast, citrus and spice - typical saison fare. Taste is delicious - fresh, lively, and so easy drinking. Mouth is just right. Medium body, nice carbonation, somewhat dry and refreshing. Overall, I was quite impressed with this.

Poured a clear yellow color with a huge white head that dissipated quickly and left little lacing. Smells of citrus, lemongrass and Belbian yeast. Tastes of tangerine, lemon, lemongrass, banana, bubble gum and spices. A little sweet for the style. Well carbonated, light bodied, smooth and crisp.

It pours a hazy yellow with a relatively small head (for a Saison) and minimal lacing. The smell is of a slightly unripe tangerine. Lots of citrus rind. The flavor is very unique in that it balances bitterness and acidity without any sweetness in between. Lots of tangerine and lemongrass. I would have liked a tiny more maltiness to fully balance the overall flavor profile but still this is a very enjoyable beer as it is.

Poured into a 19oz Brooklyn Brewery Saison glass.

L - golden, unfiltered beer. Small head and very little carbonation.
S - a variety of citrus and some lemongrass. Belgian yeast comes through in the smell as well
T - initial citrus, but not too sour. some wheat flavor comes through after, leaving a slightly sweet aftertaste
F - very complex. waves and waves of flavor that come through that each provide a unique flavor. pretty smooth at 7.2%
O - this is a very tasty beer and an excellent Saison. well worth it for the price, and would definitely go for more!

Got it one night for game night with the guys because of its namesake and the bottle looked cool. Great beer! pours golden and tasted a bit thick but still very drinkable (I think I had 2-3 during one game!). None of us are big stout drinkers so on our winter game nights we turned to farmhouse/saison and this is a great example of the style.
