The local 1 was in my top 5 for a bit, but this surpassed it. Great summer selection. Ditch your summer shandy and give this a shot

Poured into tulip, lemon yellow color with small rim of head, nice citrus aroma mixed with funk of yeast aroma, nice crisp mouth feel with predominant lemon flavor with some herbal notes mixed in. Really good, refreshing summer beer

Appearance: vigorous effervescence , like a tornado; lemon yellow, with an unfiltered fog; huge, fluffy, egg-white head exhibiting solid retention

Aroma: juicy grapefruit, lightly of spruce; overall it's mild

Taste & Mouthfeel: surprisingly clean and silky mouthfeel, expected prickly and possibly flat from the look of the carbonation; fruity and juicy flavour starts things out, of orange and grapefruit pulp - it's hardly bitter until the dry finish, and even then it's mild hops; refreshing, bringing to mind a weizen (there's a touch of spice) or a radler, but with golden malts playing a more distinctive supporting role as backbone; dangerously drinkable for a 7.5% brew

Overall: a real delight to drink, great accompaniment to summer sunshine - light, bright, full flavours and mouthfeel make it really pleasurable; would say, as mentioned on the bottle, it feels more like a fruitier twist on a golden ale than it does a saison

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a snifter.

A - Poured a pale gold, thick, frothy head.

S - Citrus fruit, spice, and funk.

T - Yeast spice takes the lead here, providing a tart, spicy tang. Bitey yeast funk fades into juicy, fresh hoppiness. Low residual bitterness hangs in afterward.

M - Medium-light body, fairly bubbly carbonation.

O - Very solid saison with an interesting, hoppy twist.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy whiteish/golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of yeast, lemons. Taste is funky, yeasty, lemons, light hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer, but not as good as I expected.
