Taste profile is unlike a traditional Belgian Saison. The hop and yeast combination is quite unique.

Good as in very good beer.... lighter and very carbonated you do pick up on a lemony citrusy thing, great for summer. Has some kick forma lighter beer. Hides the abv quite well.

Picked up a single bottle at Four Firkins in Minneapolis. The best by date suggests it's good for another two months. Poured right from the fridge into my tulip glass.

L: Pours a hazy golden straw/light apricot color with about two inches of white head that sticks around for a good bit and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Quite a bit of visible carbonation where it can easily be seen at the edges.

S: It's got the traditional yeasty banana/orange/clove funk that's to be expected in this style. Nice, bright notes in the aroma, with orange and clove a bit more forward than banana. Just a bit of grape must and some cracker malts underneath it all. Nice nose.

T: Cracker malts at the very front, with a prompt introduction of some serious tartness. The clove notes are present very quickly, along with orange, (subtle) banana, and a bit of a peppery quality. The middle sees the tart continue to build, and there the hop notes begin to surface--predominantly citrus rind. This one seems to get spicier as the flavor develops. The back end has more of the citrus rind and more of the bitter, with some of those lingering spice notes of clover and cracked pepper.

F: Lighter-bodied, this one stills manages to feel substantial due to nice carbonation and creaminess. Creamy, tart, bright, and bitter in turns, this one has a very engaging consistency.

O: I'm not a huge fan of farmhouse ales, but this one is very enjoyable. I really like the flavors it's able to bring forth and still keep balanced, and the smell and feel are also excellent. This one would be fun to pair with a variety of foods, as well. I definitely recommend.

Golden color with a good amount of white foam. Grassy, lemony, and funky.

BBD 8/15. Pours a semi-cloudy gold. World class head volume, lacing and retention.

Nice nose of light lemon or lemongrass with a subtle yeast character.

Light medium body with a texture that has creamy aspects. Superbly well carbonated with nice effervescence from the middle on.

The outstanding profile is intense, somewhat complex and is hop and saison flavor forward rather than balanced. It begins with a lemon like flavor that flows into the spicy Sorachi hop. A very subtle mild bitterness emerges in the middle over a weak biscuit character. From the middle on, the slightly funky farmhouse character dominates. The dry finish lingers with a receding lemon flavor over farmhouse funk.

from a bomber into a GI tulip

a: huge puffy white eggshell head on top of a hazy pale straw
s: lemongrass, faint ginger and green mint, earthy peppery yeast, a little like champagne...very interesting and inviting, especially in the summer
t: like the nose: crackery wheat, lemony-limey zest, earthy-spicy-funky depth...lots of great things here...somehow the sum doesn't add up to more than the excellent individual parts for me, but this is still really good and quite unique
f: best thing about this one...ends dry like champagne, good prickly peppery spicy yeast and a little spritz of lemon-limey citrus

Aroma is lemons, yeast, mild sweetness and bread. The flavor is citrus, lemons, mild/medium sweetness and a mix of slight tartness/mostly smooth throughout in the finish.

Pours a slightly hazy light golden, modest creamy head, good lace retention. Fruity in the nose, mainly pear. Some barnyard aroma, particularly hay. Fruity taste like pears soaked in alcohol . Dry white wine like feel. Very smooth and drinkable. A really good beer.
