Picked up a 750 ml bottle from Opperman's Cork 'n' Ale last Saturday for $9.99. No visible bottling date.

Beer poured golden with a near perfect white head that has some serious hang time.

Nose has the classic saison grassy herbal nose with hints of lemon.

Taste is classic saison sans the pepper with a nice lemon drop hop bite.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and very light and smooth.

Overall this is an extremely lovely brew, wish i had access to this as i could do this again!

On tap, poured into a stemmed tulip. Aromas of lemon and light candy sugar are noted with a supporting pepper hint and undertones of cereal, grass, and coriander. The soft white, sudsy head retains a light surface dust and moderate ring atop a lightly hazy, yellow beer. There's a bit of lace on the glass. The taste is a medium sweet and medium bitter that start to balance as the beverage warms up. The texture is relatively thin with a fizzy carbonation and a medium light body flavored by lemon, grains, and spice in the profile and finishing with a pepper and coriander zip and some honey that eventually turn grassy and grainy with lemon peel. The aftertaste is cereal like with a tart lemon that's lightly astringent turning to pepper and clove with a light honey. Quite refreshing.

Poured from bottle into tulip glass.

Look: A nice creamy orange body coloration, hazy, thick white head with long retention, solid lacing left on glass.

Smell: Immediate well balanced citrus from the ace hops, sweet yeast character is present, a slight hint of alcohol is present as well.

Taste: Bitterness from the hops opens the profile bringing a sour and warm lemon/citrus up front, then followed by the well balanced and smooth malts that linger on the palate, finishing with a bread and slight citrus aftertaste.

Feel: Moderately carbonated, a medium weight on the tongue, smooth movement through swallowing.

Overall: A very well made beer, highly drinkable and something you can always come back to when the weather starts to warm up.

An interesting saison. Pours very pale yellow with huge frothy foam head. Smells strong of lemon with maybe a hint of pepper. Taste is peculiar. Big hit of lemon upfront, with a very malty/peppery and bitter aftertaste. I don't know that I liked it on my initial sip, but the bitter finish dissipated halfway through my first beer and I enjoyed it more as I drank it. I would drink it again, but I feel there's better saison's out there. Maybe just a bit too bitter for my taste...

750 ml bottle purchased from Whole Foods, chilled to approximately 50 degrees and consumed unhurriedly form a Spiegelau stemmed Pilsner glass. I have a particular fondness for Saisons and this a good one. On the one hand, I could probably drink ths all night long but, on the other, I can't find anything special about it that causes me to prefer this to others in the category. Would drink again, but would rather have a Saison DuPont, a Goose Island Sophie or (maybe) an Ommegang Hennepin.

On tap at Beer Engine, Danville, KY. Smell is farmhouse funk and lemon, grapefruit rind. On the initial sip, lemony hop profiles in a beautiful battle for supremacy. On the mid-palate, grapefruit and kumquat flavors enter, along with a big hit of pepper and a hint of tropical fruit. Finish is dry, with yet more lemon and kumquat rind. SO much better on tap; highly recommended.

Pours a slightly hazy gold, thin, fizzy white head; thin ring retained with a few dots of lace down the glass. Smell: grassy and sweetly floral, fruity (apple, unripe pear), dried lemon peel, orange. Taste: candied lemon peel, grassy, sugar cookie, spicy and drying finish. Sorachi Ace is well showcased; otherwise it's a bit sweet and could use a little something else going on. But tasty and high on the croosh scale.

A straw goldenish yellow color with a good amount of carbonation. A lemony/lemongrass, Belgium yeasty funk to the nose. The taste follows with some spritzy lemon citrus notes. Lemongrass, dill, funk, clove, and some lemon peal. Light bodied and super easy drinking for 7.2%.

Look: Hazy golden apricot with a couple fingers of head that settle to a film and leave some lacing Smell: sweet fruity and floral aromas
Taste: Lightly bready sweet with some fruity acidity and floral notes. The initial sweetness fades beautifully into a dry mildy bitter finish. Alcohol is somewhat perceptible. I didn't get much funkiness with this saison.
Feel: Light-medium body with decent carbonation, but not the effervescence you get with some of the best saisons

Overall: A great light and dry saison with some decent complexity. The only letdown was that the carbonation was not as explosive as my favorite saisons - this affects both the appearance (head) and the mouthfeel. Overall, however, this is one of the better values among the quality saisons I've tried. I expect many repeat purchases.
