Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancestors, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest German two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. The flavor of the malt comes through in the finish. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures, and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness. We believe that you will find there to be none finer. Unlike mass-marketed so-called pilsners, Brooklyn Pilsner does not contain cheap fillers such as corn or rice, nor does it contain any preservatives or stabilizers. Brooklyn Pilsner is the real thing.

Look- Pours nice golden color with lots of bubbles, and a decent clean white head
Smell- Aroma of floral and fruity hops, sweet.
Taste- Nice, slightly bitter hoppy flavor with crisp almost bready malt in the background. Nicely balanced, and true to the style. Malt comes out a bit more as it warms. Clean finish.
Mouthfeel- Medium mouthfeel, balanced with nice carbonation.
Drinkability- Possibly my favorite Pilsner so far, which might not be saying much, as they're far from my favorite style. Definitely a beer I feel might be good to introduce to someone, trying to gradually bridge the gap from macro lagers, to craft beer.

Tried this at a local party store tasting, and this was a nice revelation. A crisp, light, balanced, but flavorful lager that's good for a nice change-of-pace. Here's hoping that Brooklyn expands into the Midwest.

This pils was a very pleasant surprise. I honestly wasn't expecting much but it's a damn good beer. Has a little less crispness and was a bit cloudy compared to Euro pilsners but man the taste is awesome. Not as light as other Pilsners but a nice hop bite and some nice bready malt in there. Great beer for my palate. Will buy again for sure.

Maybe I am in a good mood right now but this is a really well done lager (pilsner). I like that it doesn't contain any corn or hops or artificial stuff, which is so prevalent with golden beers. I am drinking out of a can and poured into a glass. No off taste at all. It has some depth to it, and has enough bitterness to keep it interesting. This will be my new favorite lager that I can find easily.

Brilliantly clear gold, dense white head, great retention, spotty lace
Herbal/floral hop and bready malt aroma, a bit of sea air or fresh kelp smell as well
Bready malt, citrus/floral/herbal hop flavor
Medium-light bodied, I'd like a touch more carbonation
Decent pils, wouldn't seek it out

Poured from tap at Kroger. Good color, clarity and head. Not much on the nose. Taste is skunky and bitter that lingers on the tongue for way too long.

Medium gold with a one-finger tight white head. Good initial carb release to replenish, no lacing.
Sweet Biscuit aroma almost graham cracker.
The full body hits before a honey, earthy sweetness spreads out followed by the carbonation that lightens things.
Very pleasant, drinkable beer.
