Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.60%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe all others pale in comparison to this one. Crisp and hoppy, Philadelphia Pale Ale is brewed with Pilsner malt and American hops, which impart a surprising citrus aroma.

Bottle. Pours a clear, very pale yellow color. Almost looks like a light beer. Head is a finger's width of bright white froth. Long sheets of lacing. Aroma of zesty, bright citrus. Clean pale malt. The hops are lemony and grassy. The malt is pale and unobtrusive. Has some cracker elements to it. A bit of citrus rind. Body is very light. There is a good dose of flavor packed into this diminutive brew. The carbonation is very peppy. Drinks easily. Would be an easy sixer to do away with.

Clean and crisp; you can't go wrong with this one. (orig scored it 4)

Later - well, it's okay -- but many other ales out-score it by now.
