Notes: Misguided Angel is our flagship New England IPA brewed with Golden Promise, Oats, Vienna, and Wheat malt. It is then double-dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic. Fermented with an expressive British yeast strain to amplify the citrus and tropical hop character.

Four pounds of hops per barrel

A: The beer is somewhat hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit and lime citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste starts off like the smell but has additional flavors of pine towards the finish as well as a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: You can definitely get the sense that this beer was brewed with a heavy dose of hops given the profile of aromas and flavors in its smell and taste.

Haven't had much luck with this brewer, but have a friend that loves it. He gave me a couple of these - pretty decent sauce. Perhaps a bit cloying and/or heavy in the mouthfeel for relatively low abv. Good flavors, would revisit.

From a 16 oz. can sample in Sep 2021. Posting now.

The appearance is amber-orange underneath a modest cream colored head. It fades to a ring.

Aroma of tropical fruit such as pineapple, grapefruit or orange, Cooked barley grain. Vague peppery sensation.

Medium or better mouthfeel.

The taste is mildly sweet with some bready or cracker characters but then it becomes a big tropical fruit feast. Fairl available in my area.

Wow. Local big box introductory price of $10, yes $10, for 4. You should all have the great fortune of shopping here, I've enjoyed so many great sales over the years ... great beer. So good I just grabbed the last 2 on the shelf, how can you beat $10 per 4? Flavor profile very similar to the Alchemist Focal banger, high praise, indeed. Clean, crisp, grass, fresh, frothy. Looks good, smells good, tastes great, and finishes dry. And $10. But most importantly, nicely bittered, grapefruit and orange. My complaint with this style, is no bitterness. When did we forget great beer, is balanced beer. And bitter.

Pours an opaque deep gold with some clarity under white head; ok cap retention; some soapy lace; solid ring. Predominantly grapefruit with some earthy pineapple nose. Taste is grapefruit/Meyers lemons bitterness; sweet pineapple; clean malt base. Medium full body, moderate minus carbonation; no astringency from hops, no warmth from 7.5% abv; clean feel. Overall, a “hazy” NEIPA (with Mosaic!) that I like; long bitter citrus rind linger (80 IBUs?); advertised as a “True” NEIPA, it looks/feels/tastes like a Midwest IPA (no pine/no stickiness); which tics few NEIPA guideline boxes, with loads of bitterness...add more grapefruit and I’d think I was drinking a Grapefruit Sculpin; maybe this beer really ls what an NEIPA was meant to be...I would drink this daily if I lived in NH!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy bright gold color with a finger of white head. The head leaves an epic crown of lacing before settling into a thin sheet.

The aroma brings mango for days, followed by some grapefruit, peach, and honeydew melon.

The flavor brings loads of grapefruit, mango, and pineapple. There's some bready malt in the back before a subtle, piney finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth with a nice, dry finish.

Overall, a great and highly drinkable NEIPA. Definitely worth seeking out if you're in NH.

Hazy murky golden grapefruit in color with a decent but short lived bubbly white head. Citrus mango papaya earth grass a hint of pine hoppiness. Bready crackery maltiness. Not too shabby.

This poured out with a haziness that is common now with IPA's. The smell of the beer has a good amount of hop aroma on the nose. The taste of the beer is very good too. The feel is smooth. Overall a very nice beer.

Thanks to BA SawDog505 for this Concord gem.
Pours a peachy gold hue. Firm pour graces me with a finger and a half of white fluff.
Smell is bold and assertive. Initially pithy grapefruit, but immediately pushing to the fore is mango, pineapple, and a kiss of lemon zest. Finally a smooth, earthy generally tropical note comes through.
Taste is more of a melange of pithy grapefruit, with subtle nods toward mango and pineapple. Then settles into the grapefruit pith. Not as "bright" as the nose, but a good lingering bitterness. Not over the top, but constant.
Mouthfeel is medium to full. A bit more than style I think, but really carries all of this drink well. Carbonation is active in the beginning, becoming more subtle toward the end. But definitely contributing for the whole ride. A tad sticky...Nice.
Overall, a very good IPA.
