Fruit forward Double IPA with tons of citrus flavor and aroma from the Mosaic hop variety. A well balanced beer, big on flavor!

Having Dorchester roots, I was intrigued to pick something up from this local Dot brewery. I decided to go heavy on the horse power and try the double IPA. This beer was wonderful, gloating a beautiful amber glow with a frothy top that dissipates over time. Sweet hoppy aromas fill your nostrils, but the taste does not hit back like a real hoppy beer. Rather it drinks super smooth for a double IPA and will have you reaching for another. OFD!

Look: Modest start to the head. Decent webby lace. Dark gold color and clear.
Smell: Mostly malty with a good hop kick.
Taste: Prickly initially. The malt base is solid but the hop dominates quickly. The overall flavor is nondescript. I also don't get the richness or alcohol from this beer as I would expect from DIPA. Great bitter finish and aftertaste.

Dipa is ok. Once again it's dark amber and reddish in appearance. Pine, resin, pineapple and dankness. Feels syrupy. Dry and bitter. One of these is enough.
