Pours a lightly hazy pale gold in color with a bit over a finger of white head that fades to a 1/4" coating. Aroma is very muted but I get a touch of sweetness, some herbal, floral, and grassy hops. Taste has some lightly caramel malt sweetness, tangerine, floral and earthy hops. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. A pretty solid classic APA, I will admit that I probably would have enjoyed this one more (and rated it higher) a few years ago.

Had this on tap at the restaurant served in the 8 beer sampler. The beer had a murky brown-amber appearance with a bubbly head and lacing. The aromas were decently full of herb-rich hops and the taste followed the nose with a bittersweet balance of citrus and hops. The beer had a lightly creamy texture with some decent carbonation for its mouthfeel. Overall, I thought this beer was pretty good in its appearance, aromas, and taste.

This one is kind of all over the place for me. Pours a light amber color with decent head. Aroma is confusing. I smell some floral and tropical hops on top of some strange aroma that I can't identify. It might be from the malts, but not a smell I recognize. Luckily, it tastes better than it smells. Taste is pretty typical for a pale ale. A little fruity and floral from the hops balanced with a good amount of malt sweetness. Finishes a tad bitter for a pale ale which doesn't bother me. Mouthfeel is light to medium. Overall, I expected more from this beer since I really enjoyed a couple of other beers from this brewery and this is supposed to be their flagship.

Can into tulip. 1/21/16

L. Light copper in color with thick 2 finger head and stick lacing. Perfectly clear.
S. A good amount of citrus and malt sweetness and a touch of hops.
T. Getting some nice hops up front with a malt, sweet finish. Very easy to drink on this first day of spring 2016.
F. Lighter body and medium carbonation.
