This one is kind of all over the place for me. Pours a light amber color with decent head. Aroma is confusing. I smell some floral and tropical hops on top of some strange aroma that I can't identify. It might be from the malts, but not a smell I recognize. Luckily, it tastes better than it smells. Taste is pretty typical for a pale ale. A little fruity and floral from the hops balanced with a good amount of malt sweetness. Finishes a tad bitter for a pale ale which doesn't bother me. Mouthfeel is light to medium. Overall, I expected more from this beer since I really enjoyed a couple of other beers from this brewery and this is supposed to be their flagship.

Can into tulip. 1/21/16

L. Light copper in color with thick 2 finger head and stick lacing. Perfectly clear.
S. A good amount of citrus and malt sweetness and a touch of hops.
T. Getting some nice hops up front with a malt, sweet finish. Very easy to drink on this first day of spring 2016.
F. Lighter body and medium carbonation.

Nice Smell, good hop aroma. Hazy Copper color with Good Lacing. Mild Bitterness. Overall a very good American Pale Ale. The lower alcohol content lets you enjoy a few.

Finally trying this New England staple. Picked up in Wells, ME. Good to see the wealth of Moat cans.

A- Tallboy poured to a goblet revealing a medium golden brew with a frothy white, two finger crown. Fair head retention after which a small ring deposits sheets of drizzled lace.

S- Balanced aroma with hops perhaps taking a very slight edge giving off citrus, floral and slight stone fruits. Bready yeast and barley, apple esters, pale crystal malt sweetness, toast, cereal and biscuits.

T- By 2015 standards this would be balanced or even a bit malty. The grains make a platform of cereal malts, biscuit, light crystal sweetness, toast and bready notes. Oranges, tangerine, floral hints, apricot and earthy hops. Hints of pale fruit esters and yeast bread round it out.

MF- Medium overall thickness hitting the palate with a smooth frothy texture. Medium to high zesty bubbles finishing with a solid resinous bitterness.

All around good flavors and balance. Some of the hops get muddled in the wealth of grainy flavors but honestly it drinks very easily and is perfect for a tallboy. Gotta get some for the next White Mountain adventure.
