An English-style brown ale. This beer has a biscuit-like smoothness with a rich, malt body and medium hop bitterness.

Nice color, a good beer for drinking everyday, has decent flavor that lasts all the way to the end.
The big 22 ounce can is a bit of a surprise but I had no problem finishing the can.
I would put the overall appeal of this beer as equal to Sam Adam's Boston Lager.
Moat did a great job with this beer, which I had not previously seen but found at Trader Joe's.

A: Pours a deep mahogany/brown color with 2 fingers of head that slowly fades down to a nice cap that leaves good lacing
S: Toasted malt, earthy hops, some biscuit, and very light dark chocolate
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of the toasted malt, biscuit, and some caramel, followed by the earthy hoppiness. Light dark chocolate and nuttiness present as well. Finishes with the caramel, dark chocolate, and earthy undertones
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. On the smooth side
O: A good English brown that is super easy to drink. Well balanced. Worth checking out

Man, this one has been laying dormant in my fridge for a while now, and it sucks because I haven't really been in the mood for a brown ale since then. Tonight calls for something light yet malty, so here we are
Pours cloudy dark amber with a slight ruby glow and a finger of light brown head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is very warm and inviting, brings notes of rich caramel malt, raisin, dark bread, and a touch of clove-like spice
The taste starts off with a fair amount of spice and earthy hops that was not present in the aroma with just a dash of sweet malt. The swallow brings more grassy hops in addition to flavors of toasted dark bread and toffee. Really not too much going on here
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation for a very easy drinking beer, but with a nice chewy feel. The finish is crisp and dry with a decent balance
This was good, but nothing special. Certainly felt more like an American style brown in the way that the malt is subdued but it was good nonetheless

Pours a smaller fizzy off-white with med retention, bit of soapy lacing, hazy med auburn brown color, auburn light coming through
Nose brings toasted biscuity brown malts, faint caramel but some toffee notes, some interesting spice notes almost cinnamon like, a little herbal note,
Taste brings mild sweet brown malts, toasted biscuity malts with a touch of caramel, more toffee and a little nutty note, some cinnamon and baking spices again, herbal earthy hops kick in with med-smaller bitterness, mild dry finish with more bitterness and herbal spicy hops
Mouth is med bod, med to lighter foamy carb
Overall not bad but nothing special, malts left a bit to be desired, they were decent but could def use more of them, hops were OK, the spices were also interesting especially since tehy didn't mention adding them so must be from the malts
