Very Good
Notes: Life’s not always Rainbows and Lollipops, so we created this IPA to put a smile on your face and let you know to not take things too seriously. Packed with tropical & citrus notes from heavy handed hop additions, it offers a balance of sweet smoothness and layers of fruity flavors.

Had this out in June 2019, thanks Erika for bringing me out to this joint.

Pours a maltier looking ipa, hits that obvious crystal malt appearance, looking like a bronze amber color with 1/2" white head. Aroma kicks Amarillo and Azacca hops around, a little bit of peach and pine going for it alongside all that caramel.

Taste was good, they went close to making an imperial here, hefty malt bill, alcohol at 7.3, all the alcohol and bitterness (around 60 ibu I would guess) is there, but plenty enjoyable to drink. I think the commercial tug job about tropical fruit notes are exaggerated, this was more of a stone fruit, grapefruit, pine and caramel experience. The mouth feel takes the lowest score because of the higher alcohol content and the thick, sticky, heavy caramel presence from what feel like a little bit of an excessive crystal/caramel malt job.

At the end of the day, its a good beer, Bravo and Falconer's push bitter weight throughout. I think a lighter malt bill would give a greater hop flavor presence, and maybe dialing it below 7% would be a positive too.

Pours a slightly murky amberish color. The head is quite frothy, white, 3 finger, with good retention. There's some really nice lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose has a nice hop aroma. Some pineapple, orange and other citrus aromas.
Taste - a nice sweetness that turns into a nice citrus hop flavor. The pineapple and orange taste good. Slight pine on the backside.
The Body is decent. Nice how the hops linger a bit on the backside.
Decent IPA from them. Great flavor, and it holds up well.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Stamped on side of the can is '1778'.
Clear, pale amber colored body. Three finger white, billowy head persists. Leaves behind some strings of lacing.
Smells of fruity and tropical hop aromas. Orange, nectarine, pineapple, and melon.
Taste is initially with the sweet fruity hop flavors, and then a dry hop burn comes in with a little bitterness.
Medium mouth feel, with a little syrup. Very good carbonation.
This beer is all about expressing sweet fruity and mildly bitter tropical pith flavors. Any malts seem to be overwhelmed and not represented in the nose and mouth. Initially this beer is all sweet and smooth and then the hop burn pops in for a late moment.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a small white head. Smells of citrus hops. Tastes of citrus hops, with great malty backbone and just a hint of pine. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.
