Brewed with Only brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops.

To every thing there is a season. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to plant and a time to reap. But in the Urban South, our seasons run together. Here, parishioners cycle between pew and barstool. The tippler duets with the street preacher. And last night’s carousers become today’s congregation, still dressed in their finest. Holy Roller is a big, bold IPA for all of us caught between best intentions and bad behavior. It’s for the golden moment between Saturday night sins and Sunday’s repentance. It’s for life lived in full. For every season, there is a beer. We call it Holy Roller.

Hazy light gold color with medium white cap. Aroma of rich resiny hops with a touch of grapefruit.

Taste on entry is solid hop flavors with an underpinning of malt. The malt is not assertive here, or even noticable as a separate flavor, rather a structure on which the hops rest. The hops are sharp without bitterness, clean yet rich and finish with a touch of grapefruit in the aftertaste.

Another hazy, juicy IPA that races around the course without any stumbles.

Pale, hazy yellow with a dense, white head. Good lace and cling.
Aroma is white sugar and orange zest - typical of the style and uninspiring.
Flavor is soft on the tongue - "pillowy" as they say and some seem to like. This is better if even softer than most but has some distinct grain flavor along side the ubiquitous citrus sting. While the adjunct grains are very evident they don't dominate with pseudo beeriness as is so o9ften the case with hazy gloop beers.
Thia finish is clean and sudden - a faint citrus tang in the aftertaste.

Tall pour at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Meridian MS
Hazy opaque orange pour with an inch or more bubbly white head that persists. Light bready malt tropical and citrus hops light astringency but overall a nice brew.

I tried a pint of this beer off the tapper at Walk Ons in Houma, Louisiana. It poured a clear orangish with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had bitter citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grapefruit leaning hop bitterness. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

LOOK: Pours a moderaely hazy gold color with a robust white head with some excellent retention and plenty of side glass lace.
AROMA: Citrus aromas hops and some pine nuts, followed by moretropical notes with some mango and papaya mixed in.
TASTE: Pick up the characteristics in the aroma, also get some tangerine, and some tartness in the taste.
Nice IPA, probably not a favorite for hop head lover but nice modrate level citrus IPA.

Had Holy Roller poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "PKG ON: 06/27/22," into tulip pint.

Pours orange juice with some ugly sediment, and 1- to 2-finger near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick rings of lace down the glass. Mild resin aroma off pour, then florals and sweet stone fruit aromas, and as warms some tart stone fruit. Begins with moderate carbonation carrying sweet, creamy malt into tart stone fruit (peach) and pineapple, that carry together into a moderately bitter, sticky finish.

Despite the "Hazy Juicy" warning label, Holy Roller is more than a mere marketing ploy, as the body is nicely creamy and mouth-filling, but ultimately the beer is lacking sufficient hop additions to achieve the deep, lasting aromas and complex flavors that make one dream of New England.

Out of a plastic cup while walking around in NOLA so I might not have the best feel for this one. It was good but a bit flat on the mouthfeel
