Clean like Jessica Alba after a shower, this one has Raul intrigued. But then I sit, and I sip, and... it’s like when you know a girl is quality, but she just doesn’t do it for you. This is a good beer; it’s balanced, smooth, and inviting. (Maybe Raul just isn’t a fan of Mosaic?)

Anyway, like page 62 of the 1998 Victoria’s Secret catalogue; Raul knows it’s quality, but he just ain’t going to polish his rocket to it.

Poured from 16oz can into 16oz tulip. No observable canning date.

Look: Transparent, and dark amber in color. 1/2" frothy white head formed from a vigorous pour, leaving heaps of residual lacing.

Smell: Mosaic FTW. Perfect blend of hops with citrus aromas. Grapefruit, orange, and lemon all present on the nose, with hints of peel and lemon grass.

Taste: Hoppy, fruity, and bright. Really a good and easy drinking beer. Mosaic hop profile is noticed, but not overly bitter. Plenty of juice character to the taste. Follows the nose, and very well balanced.

Feel: Medium mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Deceptively soft feeling.

Overall: This is a dang good brew, and one worthy of a try. Nothing outrageous, but a good easy-drinking beer. Well done Unsung. As always, I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Poured on tap at Unsung's Anaheim taproom.

Look: Golden, light amber. Inch head.

Smell: Mosaic all the way. This single-hopped mosaic brew smells exactly like you would expect it to smell. Grapefruit and cantaloupe melon are up front. With a bitter, piney background.

Taste: Wow. Absolutely delicious. Grapefruit and pine. Mostly sweet and bitter with just the right touch of malt background.

Feel: Bitter and dry, but not as dry as Anthia, if you've had it to compare.

Overall: One of the best showcases of the mosaic hop I have ever had. On par with many Fieldwork brews like Shoreline and Canopy that feature this particular hop variety. Excellent beer. A must-have in the Orange County beer scene.
