L: Pours a thick, rich caramel. No visible head. Held to the light, this beer has a nutty carob hue.
S: Chocolate, vanilla, malt, and coffee.
T: Nice espresso coffee flavor up front, along with roasted malts and vanilla. Followed by chocolate, and hints of cinnamon, lactose, and brown sugar. Relatively sweet.
F: Creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Medium-bodied. A tad thinner than expected. Fair level of carbonation.
O: A little too thin. Flavor is ok, slightly uneven. Aromas were very very faint. Not my go-to but it's probably a bit more approachable as far as imperial stouts go.

Taster flight at Steam Bell. Dark brown pour, patchy head. Aroma is light coffee and chocolate, roasty. Taste is sweet, chocolate, lactose, coffee. A bit of body to this one, creamy. Best of the flight.

From a can, pours as black and opaque with loads of carbonation but no "head" that lasted even long enough to make a head. Almost no aroma, but whiffs of chocolate. The tastes are malt-forward with brown-sugar sweetness and a hint of vanilla at the back end. The mouthfeel is a bit creamy, but quickly feels watery (so not as good as many other milk stouts). Overall, solid, but many other milk stouts are better.

A rum conditioned imperial milk stout aged on whole vanilla beans and locally roasted Guide Roasting Company coffee.
I'm unsure what "rum conditioned" means?
All the elements listed on the reasonably priced 16oz can are here and the balance is very nice. A bit more coffee than vanilla, brown sugar, and a smooth milky stout. On the sweet side naturally, but I would not call this a pastry stout by any means. Sorry I only bought one can.

L: Dark brown black color and a thick, opaque consistency. Nearly a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting lacy head.
S: Aromas of chocolate, malt, coffee, and vanilla.
T: Tasted of sweet malt , flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. flavors. Chocolate that last.
F: A correctly carbonated stout. Medium-smooth bodied.
O: A well made sweet stout.

A sweet dessert brew. Creamy and rich. Full bodied is just a beginning. Chocolate, vanilla, broozy. Superb sipper. Roasty but not burnt.

Poured a black body with minimal lace and head. Aroma is mild with decent smells of chocolate and vanilla. A mild coffee dryness and sweetness comes out in a thick body along with touches of something akin to milk chocolate and vanilla; the finish is balanced and overall not a bad beer at all.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A good, but not great aroma of chocolate, malt, coffee, and vanilla.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of sweet malt (present throughout), a good shot of vanilla, some light cinnamon notes (not too much), a decent amount of chocolate, and light coffee. Kind of an uneven flavor here. The chocolate gets more pronounced as you go along, but the coffee and spices never have enough oomph. Still, a solidly sweet flavor.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but still likable. Worth a look.

The beer pours a nice tan brown creamy head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is a nice dark chocolate black with a bit of a thin texture to it.
The smell is pretty good. The coffee comes out front among a combined set of notes such as cinnamon and vanilla with good lactose notes with a bit of chocolate.
The taste is pretty good. Like the smell, it has a good mild roasted coffee note with the tiramasu combination of notes but with the vanilla notes coming in a bit stronger while the cinnamon is a little bit weaker while the chocolate stays the same.
The feel is good. It has a light body to it with a dryish finish. The body texture is pretty creamy even if it is a tiny bit dry.
Overall, this is a pretty good beer and worth getting. It isn't over the top sweet or extremely bitter. It's just right.
