The colour is deep warm brown (80 EBC), the liquid is clear. The finger-thick head is beige and airy; it sinks quickly down to a thin lid leaving no lacing.
The smell is semi-sweet with notes of roasted nuts, milk chocolate and bitter herbs. Hints of chloride in the background.
The taste is somewhat bitter with lots of dark rye bread, (milk) chocolate, sweet caramel, dandelions and bitter-spicy herbs. Medium body. The aftertaste got growing bitterness, condensed milk, oriental spices, and fresh herbs. The finish got notes of cocoa/chocolate, dandelions and sweet milk.
The carbonation is strong; the small bubbles are long-lived and fresh. The liquid is smooth.
A pleasant and somewhat heavy Dunkel with lots of chocolate flavours, reminds a bit of an English dark mild.
