This English-style brown ale has an alluring mahogany color capped by a rich foam head. It is brewed with six different varieties of premium malted barley, creating a robust body and delicious flavor profile featuring hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. It's ripe fruit notes and malty, sweet finish are counterbalanced by a subtle hop bitterness and aroma.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that swiftly dissipated. Some lace, and somewhat stringy. The aroma had some sweet nuts, somewhat roasty, some dark fruits, light earthiness, some cocoa powder, woodiness, and a little bit of basement but not funky. The flavor blended all of the previously mentioned aromas together somewhat sweet with a mild roast rolling in underneath. Aftertaste was malty with the nuts and some light caramel now. Finish was semi-sweet slight sticky but acceptable. The feel was roughly medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good brown ale that I think I could come back to.

Sour in a way that is not appropriate for the style, and a thin body. Not recommended, unless you can get it for $5 a six pack (like I did).

Mid dark beer with a surprising smooth and light taste. Elegant flavor that is just amazing.

Great color and finish. Also has a better than average carbonation level for a brown. I am an ipa and brown ale lover which effects my score.

Did not like this at all. Had no aroma and an odd vinegar aftertaste that I couldn't shake. It was so bad that I will force myself to try again...to make sure it wasn't a bad bottle. I will change my review if that is the case.
I poured it down the drain after a half of glass...something I never do.
