This is a huge repurposed space. Lots of wood, iron and exposed brick. Tons of tables that are well spread out. It looks nice. Lots of TVs so good spot to watch a game.

The bar is 5/8s of an Octagon (if that makes sense). It seats probably 40 or so folks. It is so large that the single bartender working was often out of site on the other side of the massive and I mean massive center wall of taps.

The offer a huge selection of beers that are all made in Iowa. I had no issues picking out good beers. I like that they offer two sizes of every beer. They were working through the end of their Oktoberfest beers and I was happy to assist : )

Food was good standard pub grub (wings, burgers, sandwiches, etc.).

I am really glad I was able to stop by during my last trip to Des Moines.

Vibe: Large open space with wood floors and old brick walls. Lots of high top tables, with a huge circle bar at the center. High ceilings help keep sound down even when it's packed. Large, and clean bathrooms. Nice, open atmosphere to drink anc chat.

Quality: Everything is top notch.

Service: Bartenders were very friendly, quick, and helpful.

Selection: All beers are made in Iowa, with a lot of spectacular choices in the mix. With such a huge selection, it's easy finding something good to drink.

A craft beer bar where every beer is made in Iowa! They took an old warehouse and turned into a destination for East Village dining. I've been a few times and the service has been good each time.

Awesome, just there on new year's eve for lunch. friendly staff. over 100 taps I believe, all from Iowa. Big open layout. Appropriate for families with kids, they even have a kids menu. great beer menu, lists by style/type. They have smaller pour options at good price ranges which I love. But most of all, what a freaking selection. discovered Pulpit Rock brewery, had their Bootzilla Pale Ale & Mr. Hoppy Pants double IPA, both were amazing. Also discovered Iowa brewing, their Surf Zombies (named in honor of an Iowa punk band) was both unique & delicious. A super stoking experience. I wouldn't miss it if you get the chance. I wouldn't say anything bad about the food, but I wouldn't return for the food alone, however, the kid's mac n' cheese was way above standard quality. a solid A grade experience overall.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling east on I84 and was very impressed with both the quantity and more importantly, quality of the Iowa only tap selections. And then there was the food. Great selection of sandwiches that made choosing difficult and they did not disappoint.
