Poured into a 16 tulip glass canned 5/21/2020. Pours a very hazy yellow, with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves big thick streaks of lace as it slowly settles. 4.25

Smell mango, ripe melon, guava, herbal earthy hops, and apricot rock solid. 4.25

Taste follows cantaloupe, mango, guava, slightly herbal, and apricot. 4.25

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, a tad sticky not dry, gentle carbonation, and at 9% really drinkable. 4.25

Overall this is another really nice NEDIPA from this brewery. 4.25

16 oz. can.
Canned 05/21/20.
Moderate pour yields a well over one inch white head over a murky, light straw colored body with some lacing. Nose of tropical fruit (mango, papaya, pineapple) and sweet citrus (tangerine, orange.)
Taste follows nose very closely with a finish of slightly bitter citrus pith.
Delicious!
Nice feel and overall, a great DIPA from Foam Brewers.

Canned on : 5/2/19 (Charneau) ?
Opened on : 5/15/19

Pours out an opaque milky-golden color. Excellent bright color shines through the dense haze. Creamy white foam cap holds on tight. Lots if crazy lace sticking around.

Pungent mix of sweet and tangy fruit style hop aroma. The Cream scent could possibly be from oats added, or lactose (?) The malt is creamy with golden summer field grains. Citrus, banana, mango and strawberries. Seriously heady nose and very complex.

The mouth feel of the very best New England DIPA's are truly remarkable. A golden-grainy , light malt bite hits first with a creamy and smooth current that rides right alongside. It feels light and crispy and then full and smooth within the same gulp! Stunning texture.

Sweet and bitter citrus is practically overwhelming in the flavor. The hops really have a complex charechter. Sharp grains, possibly wheat and light golden malt is pretty sharp, then smooth and creamy effects finish it off. The hops go from : citrus>mango>bitter dry leaves>tangy wild berries to honeydew melon harmoniously. I love how the Galaxy hop is showcased, allowing the drinker to know exactly how diverse this hop strain really is. The aftertaste is rather tangy and earthy bitterness sticks around. A tinge of alcohol heat is detected in some warmth tingle as the bitter side of the hops kick in.

A complex New England style beast

Growler from the source.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This is a big Galaxy bomb, with tons of juicy citrus- tangerine and grapefruit mostly, and a blast of pineapple on the nose.

The taste follows suit. It's nearly pure orange pineapple juice. There is just the *slightest* hint of bitterness. I definitely want a bit more to keep this more balanced. That doesn't mean it doesn't taste good, though- that's just a personal preference.

This is very creamy and very drinkable, with a very smooth finish.

This wasn't the best beer from the trip I had from Foam, but it's impressive nonetheless.

Just a top-notch NEIPA (a DIPA, at that). Smooth feel, good aroma, and the taste really stands out. A terrific showcase of galaxy hops. Dank pineapple and citrus. One of the best beers I had in my trip through Vermont.

Poured on tap at Foam.
Pours a bright and glowing medium blonde, tons of haze one finger of thick head.
Aroma is sticky fruit, orange peel and pineapple.
Flavor is a lot of pineapple and dank.
Mouthfeel was excellent as usual with all Foam beers.
Overall, delicious.

Crushed grapefruit to the max! Wish it was a bit smoother as they describe, it's got a citrus rind bite at the end. Certainly super drinkable at 9%. Def don't wanna knock FOAM because I totally dig their place and you can certainly taste the quality in many of their beers, but truth is there are better choices in the local craft beer cooler.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace to leave some messy lace. The aroma had a nice blend of sweet tropical fruits to bittersweet pine coated qualities. Some white pepper slides to ruffle up a sly malt base. The flavor blended the prior mentioned aromas together - sweet to bitter to a light spice. Sly little tropical sweet aftertaste punches the finish with a little bit of bittersweet pine. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Nicely carbonated to hit the ABV as intended by the brewer. Overall, glad to have finally tried this one, but not one of their top notch DIPA’s.

Hits you in the face with that Galaxy hop funk, then hugs you with a creamy mouthfeel and refreshing finish. Lots of flavor to be found in this one. Galaxy is such a dominant flavor to begin with and this one is very concentrated. Worth seeking out if you enjoy punchy, fragrant hops!

From a 750ml growler, filled at the brewery 04/28/17. Served in a spiegelau.

Pours a heavily hazed, dark, golden-pear color with two-plus fingers of soft, creamy head. Retention is only so-so but settles back to a thick, bubbly cap with solid walls of foamy lacing.

Strong nose of white bread and marmalade, sharp, sweet and flowery.

First taste impression is Twinkies and Skittles. Cake, pineapple juice, candied orange peel, grapefruit juice, peach and papaya. Acidic, earthy and dank, it finishes moderately bitter and decidedly boozy.

Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, maybe a tad over-carbonated? and, as noted, pretty boozy although mostly in a good way.

Overall, a powerfully tasty, big beer that packs a wallop. If you're drinking the whole growler by yourself, you might want to get up and move around once in a while just to make sure that you really can.

Foam is cranking out the IPA's and IIPA's and, so far, I've loved every one of them. I was especially excited to try Galaxie 500 since Galaxy is one of my favorite hops.

Galaxie 500 pours a murky light gold color. It's the look I've come to expect from the Foam IPA's. Very restrained white head which dissipated pretty quickly. Aroma is straight pineapple juice. If you had your 5 year old son smell this beer, he would say it smells like pineapple juice. Honestly, pineapple is pretty much all I smell with some candy sweetness on top. Almost like a bag of skittles. Crazy!

Taste follows the nose. Pineapple, pineapple, pineapple. The candy sweetness comes through as well making the overall experience more like a pineapple creamsicle or smoothie. It's insane that this is beer and I love it! I really get no bitterness at all. The sweetness I'm getting might be from the 9.2% ABV, but it really doesn't taste like a big beer. It's pretty refreshing. Mouthfeel is medium with a softness to it. Hard to explain. You just have to experience it yourself.

Overall, I really like this beer a lot. It doesn't stray too far from the Foam IPA formula that they have mastered. If you like their other IPA's, you will like this one too. However, I will say that it's different from other Galaxy hopped beers I've had from other breweries. Usually, I get a strong orange citrus flavor from Galaxy. I don't get that from this beer. It's very unique and, overall, stands on it's own as another great Vermont IIPA!

L - big, beautiful galaxy color. Straight pineapple juice. Pineapple OJ milkshake! Butter crunch ice cream. Bit of a milky, frozen hue.

S - orange creamsicle and earthy, citrusy, fruity wheat. Slight coriander and papaya. Definitely galaxy. White toast as it warms.

T - pineapple and lots of tropical fruit. Mangos, papayas, bit of grass. Smooth, luscious creamsicle flavors. Great balance between juice and bitterness. Speaking of bitterness, it hits hard on the finish and lingers. Commanding and well-implemented. Slight acidity and warm heat when breathing out.

F - aggressive and prickly. Kinda out of place. Quite a few bubbles that burst erratically, releasing loads of flavor, which can be shocking!

O - stellar beer from Foam. One of their best in a lineup that can do no wrong. Lots of juice, big bitterness, hits that galaxy flavor hard.

Pours to a pulpy haze thats become standard to NE ipas/dipas. Nose is light citrusy sweet pineapple thats not over powering. Mouthfeel fits the look but not overly thick. Flavors are rich in sweet mangos (i think its technically papaya but I swear I got mango) and pineapple, drinks so smoothly for 9% and theres no sign of booze. Only criticism is the sweet citrus flavors dominate and theres not much traditional "hop" presence.

But if you're looking for a juicy, citrus forward NE style DIPA, this one is among the best of them.

murky hazed golden orange appearance, bright white head leaves lots of lace. aromas of pineapple, melon, dankness, plastic, peppery pine & candied orange predominate. on palate is creamy peaches, tangerine orange, pineapple, mint, dank spicy pine note, sweet bready malts. can detect some booze but its well hidden in general. mouthfeel is almost there, a bit lighter than id expect given the abv. still, has some of that nice fluffy texture to it. overall its very drinkable for the abv, pretty solid showcase of galaxy.
