On tap, loads of citrus, fresh cut hay. Bright yellow matches bright yellow citrus flavor. Beer is clean with moderate carbonation, soft and just under medium body

12 oz. Canned on: 5/2/19
Opened on: 5/14/19 Fresh

A light, fizzy appearance. White gold and straw color. Heavily tinted. A fizzy white foam forms to cap it off, but quickly departs and fades.

The nose has a heavy citrus and melon hop aroma. Wet grasses, wheat and earthy sourness underneath. Big nose.

The hop complexity and depth of flavor is pretty big for APA. The citrus and lush fruity aspects are way beyond. The malt is light but nicely grainy, yet..light in overall effect. The hops are in charge, with almost zero bitterness, although pretty dry. Lots of dry earthy, peppery flavor's and lemon zest kick to make it interesting.

The mouth feel is crispy and dry, then full and smooth, fades out light and airy in the finish.

Not your father's, or older brothers
APA!!

Refreshing session ABV. Fruity bitter, but light on the hops as are most pale ales.

Pours a hazy, yellow-orange with two fingers of foamy, off-white head. Spotty, soapy lacing.

Tea, light citrus and pepper in the nose.

Nice full flavor for an APA with creamy orange citrus and pepper most prominent. Relatively clean finish, with just a kiss of earthy, tea-like bitterness and lingering citrus pith. A little mineral water, too.

Strong carbonation to the feel. Not too hefty, but comparatively pfull bodied for the style.

Tasty, refreshing brew perfect for a summer afternoon.

a neat dry hoppy hazy pale here, some new zealand hop varietals leading the way from what i can tell, an awesome fruity nose on it and a tasty beer overall, but a little starchy and dense for all day drinking, and with just a touch of that green hop bite to finish, not quite as well refined as i was expecting from these guys at this point, and frankly a little bit raw, but its hard to argue with this hop profile, and i enjoyed this pretty well overall, a nice lake breeze blowing through their well shaded front patio didnt hurt either. i get lemongrass, kiwi fruit, french melon, starfruit, lime, and mandarin orange from the can in the nose and taste, some summery white wine notes too, a light grassiness and freshness to the whole thing, it tastes just a little green, but the fruitiness of the hops is awesome, some sativa and soft citrus at the climax, more tropical on the swallow, really pretty compelling stuff, and almost all post fermentation it seems, as the bitterness here is quite low. this is really close to being something special, but just lacks a certain level of refinement. i like the earthy grains, the overall dryness, yet also the fluffy body that they provide. the hop profile is exceptional, notes of nelson but id love to know what they use, and a beer i thought i would want to drink all afternoon but ended up being one and done with. its never been the hoppy stuff that has turned me on the most here, but this is solid all in all.
