Notes / Commercial Description:
Lager is made the world over, but Creemore Springs Premium Lager is one of a kind. In all our travels, we've never found another like it. From the start, we've fire-brewed our flagship beer to be unique. It’s always made with the best ingredients and a strict adherence to traditional brewing methods. It’s just different up here, and so is our lager.

Our unique lager has a brilliant copper colour, overtones of sweet caramel malt and an appealing, well-balanced floral hop character. It's fire-brewed using the best ingredients and our own spring water.

On-tap 5/23/2016 at Hard Rock Café in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada served in a weizen glass.

A: The beer is a light amber color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma lager yeast, caramelized malts, some fruit and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of fruit and caramel come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and a little crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a solid beer but there are better alternatives within the style.

Outstanding beer.

Lived in Toronto for five years and this just may be the one thing I miss the most after moving back to the states.

Incredibly smooth, the mouthfeel on this is fantastic. Creamy and perfectly dry. Makes you want more. Tastes I can best describe as if Yuengling was brewed without corn and with better hops.. times ten. Was a bit on the pricey side, but I would have to say that it was worth it. If you are somewhere where this is available you should try it.

Super nice colour beer, the nice orange give this one a special look. On the can it says the that it have a brilliant copper colour. The bitterness is not that bad, they rank the bitterness to be 24 on the IBU scale , but it is not that much pronounced. I'll say more 15 to 20.

The smell is nice and the taste has a nice feeling in mouth. This is a nice beer to have with a meal or just for fun.

There is not that much foam out of this one. I'll recommend this one to anyone that like to taste a nice beer.

The can of 473 ml retailed for 3.50 $ (CAD), ABV 5.0%, the SRM is about 12

This beer strarts with a nice clear medium amber color with medium to low creamy looking head retention that fades into patches. When it gets close to your nose, it as a very subtle sweet caramel malt and floral hoppy note. The smell could have been more prominent for a single beer, but reasonable enough so that you can have many without getting annoyed. There is a nice light yeasty smell when cold that fades and leaves place for a light caramel touch when warmer. Have a sip and you will feel a very refreshing and crisp carbonation. The first sweet caramel taste will leave a half-drie hoppy taste that turns into a slight resin and spice taste.

Overall, this beer distinguished itself by the very crisp amber look and the balance of subtle flavors and bright mouthfeel that leaves your mouth just drie enough to get you to open a second one.

This used to be an excellent, well crafted brew from a wonderful little microbrewery. Since Molson-Coors bought them out, this has changed. Now they will deny it, but this beer is different since the changeover. It doesn't taste fresh and has that macro-brew feel and taste to it. I won't buy it again.

Veiled dark gold color with stormy activity. Light creamy beige 2 finger head, lasting around 15-20 minutes, and creating a good amount of lacing. Flavors of sweet roasted malts, floral, caramel, noble spices, faint lemony citrus and corn. It's bready and syrupy sugary but still very sharp and fresh. Silky smooth full body with extra prickly carbonation. Light finish with a faint lingering burnt malty and sugary feel, fresh floral and a little grassy. Overall very good quality craft, a little light and soft but highly zesty and refreshing. Goes quickly flat. Good flavors, well balanced mix. Easy to drink and enjoy.

Pours an almost amber coloured body with an inch of thick, frothy head. The scent brings up a bit of barley malt along with smooth hop freshness. The taste is very clean and well-hopped, almost like a pilsner but with a weaker body, and heavier carbonation. The finish is again clean, and not too long lasting, but enough so to remind you of the flavour. Awesome lager, probably among the best I've had, seek out this one!

I had it on draught at a bar in Toronto called The Abbot in a pint glass of 16 ounces.

Look: The beer has a transparent and pale copper body. It has a medium carbonation, which can only be seen from very close, and it produces a white head of one finger high. The latter quickly dissipates to the point of leaving nothing on the surface. Moreover, unlike many lagers, this beer leaves a few foamy marks on the glass as you drink.

Smell: Expect nothing in particular from the nose. There was weak notes of citrus. The rest of the nose was dominated by odours of raw grains and even wheat, even though it is not in the ingredients. As for the malt's presence, I didn't feel any sweetness on the taste, but this ingredient was hardly present. Moreover, over the course of the tasting, this lager does not develop a skunky smell unlike its industrial counterparts like Heineken.

Taste: It is very clean. The palate matches the nose. It slightly tasted like grains, natural cereals and whole wheat breads. Afterwards, these notes' bitterness soars up just a little bit. It may remind you of black pepper at most given how the bitterness is low, which is what one should expect from a lager. Before the beer entered my throat, the hops' bitterness receded, which gives the beer a dry finish.

Feel: For a a lager in general, Creemore Springs Premium Lager had the most interesting mouthfeel I have felt. Throughout the tasting, the beer doesn't taste like carbonated spring water that were made bitter with hops. The subtle hints of carbonation in the mouthfeel during the first act in our mouth makes this beer refreshing. In the second act, we feel a rise in bitterness. Then, in the final act, the beer sings its swan's song. Moreover, while it is our throat, we feel some after taste that diminishes in intensity as seconds go by.

Overall: Whilst I am not a lover of lagers due to my bad experience with Moosehead, Molson or Heineken to name a few industrial brands, I loved Creemore Springs Premium Lager. Even when it is served at the temperature of a room, the beer feels fresh and goes down easily. Moreover, the watery feel that is often associated with lagers is downplayed. If lagers float your boat, I would warmly recommend this beer.
