Can from LCBO: Poured a rich orange-gold unfiltered lager in the glass with a big puffy cap. Laced the glass well. Moderate carbonation. Wonderful aromas of toasted bread over earthy and spicey hops. Medium bodied, rocky mouth feel, malty character. Flavor has a big bite of toasty-bready-Munich malting in the front side that rides just above the noble hopping, long clean drying finish with a toasty after taste. A great full flavored amber lager in the Marzen fest style.

Creemore Springs Oktoberfest.
625 ml, 5.4% alc.
This beer has a thick white head that dissipates quickly, leaving behind little glass lacing. The colour is a dark golden.
The beer has the aroma of fresh white bread, rich maltiness, and a hint of hops.
The taste is much like the aroma, but there is a slight fruity aspect as well. In some regards this reminds me of Labatt 50 Ale because of the fruity component. However, the malt aspect is stronger than one finds in 50.
The beer is medium bodied and the finish is dry.
Really a nice product.

Creemore Springs Oktoberfest Lager review:
So the look of it: Clear Amber brown color. Light carbonation, with no finger of head at all
Smell: Caramel malt, Sweet.
Taste: Grassy, sweet, you have some malt, some caramel, very light. Very sweet but the feel is very nice, the caramel is more prononce.
So overall would I recommend it ? Sure this is a Creemore, you will never get disappointed by them

Pours a nice copper colour, not much of a head however. Sweet and grainy on the smell. Hints of caramel, some sweetness and a bit of a hops bacground. Very nice Oktoberfest lager

625 mL bottle nabbed at the local LCBO last week, listed at 5.4%. Dated Sept 1 2015 and served well-chilled. I enjoy märzens, but missed my chance to try this one last autumn.
Pours a clear, pale golden-orange colour, capped off with one finger of loose, off-white coloured foam. It loses cohesion over the next couple of minutes, leaving a soapy film behind on the surface, in addition to a thin collar and a modest amount of lacing. The aroma isn't particularly fragrant, offering up hints of doughy, bready malt and caramel sweetness, with suggestions of toasted nuts and Creemore's house character. Though it comes off a bit too subdued for my preferences, the nose is otherwise approachable enough.
This märzen boasts a clean, crisp flavour profile that is reminiscent of some of the more decent German imports. Quite malt forward; more of the doughy, bready sweetness I picked up on the nose, with some very light caramelized sugar sweetness. Toasted biscuit and nuttiness are next up, with the profile finishing upon some floral, weakly earthy hop bitterness that lasts into the aftertaste. Hints of sulphur there, too. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation levels that prickle the palate gently, yet consistently, resulting in a decent bite. As sessionable as a >5% amber lager could conceivably be.
Final Grade: 3.75, a B+. Creemore's Oktoberfest Lager is a worthy, respectable interpretation of this German lager staple. Like virtually all of this brewer's products, this is a well-made, to-style lager that makes the grades, but fails to go above or beyond expectations. Comparable in quality to older Ontario fallbacks such as Beau's Nightmärzen and Mill Street's Oktoberfest - if you go into this glass with tempered expectations, you might just find yourself pleasantly surprised, though I doubt you'll be really blown away. Worth a shot; at $6 for a near-bomber, the price is mostly reasonable.
