Poured from the bottle into a bierkrug/mug.

Great large foaming solid bone white head, with perfect pin head bubbles althroughout itself. Body color is a real nice glowing peach amber orange, slightly opaque but with a nice complimenting whipped up foamy top that clings and hangs all on the edges. Real impressive.

Real nice bouquet on this. Dense malts and chewy qualities, with a nice bakery bread smelling action. Doughy. Thick. Real inviting.

Palate comes with an interesting angle. Fruit punch like mid palate with an estery quality fruity finish it seems. Light white toasty bread with a big density malt angle on the swallow. Nice grassy and herbal like hop finish that slowly builds on the finish. Great large mouthfeel on this with huge palate coating capabilities. Fruit angle seems to get into apricots nectarines maybe even some orange citurs but more dense.

This is a real solid Zwickel, quite impressive for a lager.

Poured a beautiful cloudy orange with three fingers of fluffy white head. Quite appealing to the eyes. Scents of apple juice, sweet malt, doughy bread like scents and yeast. Nothing to out of the ordinary, but pleasant. Flavors of sweet malt, bread, yeast and an undertone of German hops. It finishes with a nice dry after taste that balances the malty sweetness of the rest of the sip. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, like a lot of German style beers I've tried. This is a very good, very unique beer, in some ways like a cross between a pilsner and a hefeweizen. I like it a lot.

A finger of head on a cloudy, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is both fruity and earthy. Orange and lemon on the fruit side. Unique.
The flavor is wheat, orange and finishes sour.
A crisp texture with higher carbonation and medium body.
It's like a hefe had a child with a pils. Drink one if you can find it.

Poured into a 1/2 liter stein a hazed deep orange tinged golden with a large fluffy white crown that took its time fading into a frothy mass leaving broken rings of lace behind.Yeasty and doughy aromas with a tinge of iron, lightly sweet. The mouthfeel is coating but not heavy, just very smooth.Mildly sweet doughy flavors with a hint of anise, quite yeasty to be expected, faint iron in the finish.Iam sure this is as food friendly as all get out, although not in your face flavors this is top notch for the style.Furst brings it.

50 cL swing-top bottle,

A: Pours a murky burnt orange with a large frothy white head, some spotty lace.

S: Sulfur and yeast, musty grain, mineral, sea air.

T: Sulfur and mineral backed with a real nice bready rustic malt component. Floral finish of earthy hops. Very well done.

M: Light-bodied, frothy and creamy with an elegant finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

O: I've had unfiltered lagers before, but never one actually called a zwickel. This is very good and a great new find in the German section.

500ml bottle - $3.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, darkish golden body with a tall, foamy, white head.

Smell: Moderately grainy-scented pilsner malts with a quality to it best described as being "dusty and forgotten". Like an old bottle in an unpopular beer store, a family heirloom, or an Adam Sandler movie on VHS. Also, vague notions blended together, a washed-out melange of fruit, sweetness, and spicy herb.

Taste: Lightly malted barley with a forward graininess to it. Softly sweet. Very, very faint caramel accent, maybe a fleeting hint of dried apricot. Additionally, there's some modest citrus and herb. Lightly bitter. Drying finish, though there's still some caramel qualities present. Lingering yeast and herb.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A nice, dusty lager.

Another average German kellerbier. Orange color on the pour with light and airy head, aroma is bread and citrus. Flavor is bittersweet, leaning more on the sweet side. Drinkable...

500ml bottle, mindestens haltbar bis: 22.01,12.

It pours a cloudy gold with a nice-looking fluffy white head.

The smell is pretty standard, grainy with some slight hop notes.

The flavor has a pleasant citrus character along with some herbs. It is sweet, but not a ton The malt is also very tasty.

It looks and smells pretty average, but it does have a fresh, invigorating flavor

A slightly murky beer with a yellow golden color and a creamy, settling head.

Smell is sulfuric and yeasty with notes of straw and dough. All of this on top of a pilsner malty base. Some hints of lavender.

Taste is musty with sulfur notes. It tastes really like an unfiltered beer with too much yeast in it. The doughy notes included. There is a slightly sweet maltiness that has some decoction notes of Maillard and caramellized products.

Deep golden, quite dark. A good amount of a white, compact head. Pouring the yeast, it tends to become a little hazy. Anyway, beautiful appearance.
Fresh smell, malt, yeast, and fresh herbal hop.
Quiet taste, well balanced: yeast, breadcrust, that remains in the aftertaste. Then also herbal notes of hop.
Good texture. Even some white flowers hints (orange flowers), with a light sweet orange peel note.
Pleasant, drinkable.

Very good beer overall. Good drikability and flavor. Don't drink too cold.It is a bavarian Keller beer but tastes like a good Bavarian Helles beer. Cloudy upon pour. Becomes more malty as it warms.
Smell is clean. Taste very good. mildly dry and very drinkable.
