Poured from the bottle into a pilsner style glass.

A real nice classic gold, slightly lemony, but also just a hair of haze in this giving off a bit of dull character. Head is nice and white bright, soapy with a little bit of retention not too much. A good looking pils.

Nose has some light grassy senses, and some hop brightness. Light malts and very clean and crisp, hints more toward Czech it seems on the nose. Either way it's quite a nice basic bouquet.

Palate hits with a bit of a surprise. The body is quite light and wet surprsingly. Malt bread character doesn't really come through. Finishes crisp and classic, medium carbonation, with an ok feel, but lacking depth. Aftertaste had some medicinal hop quality just slightly, dare I see even macro tasting strangely.

Overall, I am happy to have tried this but I probably wont have this again for a German Pilsner from Germany.

Only the second Bier to have the honor of a score of 5. Add to that it's from the same brewery as the only ohter 5 I have given..They might being doing something right up there in Wallerstein....

Pils and Dunkles are my two favorite styles. To give a 5 is saying alot...I drink alot of the two styles and feel comfortable giving them such a high score. They have earned it! I got a Kister of both in my Keller. Stop by sometime and I drink a few with you.

Pours up a ultra thick creamy head that clings perfectly to the glass. Underneath this mamoth Schaumkrone is a brilliantly clear straw gold elixir. The aroma is dream-like featuring big bright flowery/spicy/minty hops. Oh so complex and then the big malt backbone kickes in with malt sweetness and hints of grain. This is it peope!!!! Upfront the Bier is bitter and smoothes into a nice malty sweetness and then finishes j"ust in time" dry with a lovely hop bitterness. But the big story here is the hops, hops, hops. Big spicy and floral they play the upfront rola and never let you forget you have a choosen a PILS and das means HOPPY. Hoopy yet cultured and refined. This is at this point the best Pils I have ever had. Find one!!!

Zum Wohl!!!

Poured into a pilsner a clear straw color with a thick egg white colored head atop that stuck like glue to the glass, alot of tiny bubbles, what a great pour.Probably the best aromas I have come across for a pilsner, lightly toasted and bready mixed a healthy does of floral and minty hops with both playing a major role, just a hint of honey to give it mild sweetness.Crisp and dry on the palate with a spritz of lemon,a little bit of dough in the finish to go with a good shot of leafy sharp hops.Wow I never thought I would give a pilsner such a high grade, this is an outstanding complex but delicate beer.I am going to get the whole line of Furst beers available to me now in my area. It's really that good!

Hazy light yellow with two fingers of white ten minute head. Splotches of lace.
Smell is grainy with some noble hop aroma.
Taste is Pilsner malt with a sharp noble hop bite.
Mouthfeel is very light with just enough carbonation. Finish dry and moderately bitter.
Overall a decent beer but I could not find any bottle date so who Knows if it fresh or not.

A: A bold dirty yellow in color, hazy, with a decent sizes pure white head.

S: A lot of grain aroma up front. Almost husky, with a little bit of caramel syrup in back.

T: Very grain forward, malted grain, bread, and light floral/herbal hop character. The hop character does really last in the finish.

M: Medium light in body with fairly active carbonation, and a fairly dry finish.

O: Overall pretty tasty, but still has a bit of that mass produced lager flavor. There is a certain kind of simple brilliance I was hoping for, and I just didn't find it here.

Nice golden color. Not fizzy but leaves a good half inch head and nice lacing from start to finish. The first sip is full of hop flavor, just like I wanted and continues to tingle the taste buds. Hops and malt balance out nicely in the mouth, tangy and bright, never fades. There is nothing complex or fancy about this beer.Very dry. It seems to have all the characteristics of a pils that you would want: hoppy from start to finish, clean, dry and thirst quenching. Probably the beat pilsner I have tried and worth seeking out.

(flip-top 500 ml, best before 26.08.16 - poured into a wine glass)

L: sunset golden-yellow liquid, clear, but w/ a thin haze... huge stand of off-white, rocky foam - retention moderately-lasting (it keeps a messy cap), but it laces like a champ! very nice... doesn't appear to have much sediment in the bottle, if any at all - isn't that breaking an old rule?

S: old burlap grain sacks, semi-sweet grain husks in 3D... mild hint of cannabis, lemon peel, black pepper, and floral overtones... just a fantastic, inviting smell - potency fine

T: earthy grains with a lovely degree of green, grassy hops hovering in the middle... not as sharp, dry, or bitter as what I would consider a benchmark German pils... the depth in grainy, grassy malt flavor here is a bit off the charts - perhaps a testament to its freshness?

F: light-medium bodied, but with the almost subtle powdery viscosity of a Helles... vaguely sticky residues left over from the living ingredients... wonderfully dry but not too crisp, hearty and fulfilling, but not filling

O: tried this a few days ago for the first time and was quite impressed - had to get another bottle (it also doesn't hurt that I use these flip-tops to bottle homebrew)... the price point is great and I can be sure that these won't sell out where I bought them, so more for me!... just another example of how Germans can design a beer with superb flavor and construct and not resort to 'imperial' levels of alcohol or the exploitation of hops or gimmicky flavorings

Classic, comes in a 0.5l bottle with swingtop(?) and ceramic cap. Pours in almost perfect leaving a forever lasting nice& thick white foam up on top. Nice golden and perfectly clear beer makes this appearance almost perfect.
Nose is one big pleasure too! Great Spalt hops and there massivly with its perfect flower/freshness. That with some maltflavour in the background and a slightly influence of yeastesters make the smell wonderfull.
Taste is full also. A lot of maltflavour for a pilsner but who cares. Further sweet(maltyness), fresh before going in a good and clean bitterness. Aftertaste is as the taste; rich and a pleasure. Do I want more? Hell yes bring me lots.... is the first thought when I think of drinkability so must be more then OK.

Radical swing top bottle poured into a pint glass best buy date July 9, 2014. Purchased at total wine.

A: bright golden clear impressive head very nice lacing. This is how a pilsner should look. Textbook.

S: grassy and bready smells dominate and it's a delight

T: follows the nose nicely but there's also some nice hop presence to balance the biscuity malts.

M: flavors come together nicely for a crisp clean refreshing finish

O: wow, what a pleasure to drink. This is a benchmark for German pilsners and is reminiscent of those amazing Czech pilsners. If you find this, buy it.
