Interestingly, Tustin Brewing's 18th Anniversary is just a few weeks after Stone's. Also more interesting was to see this local brewpub wrestle with a sour ale. I'm in! On-tap at the brewpub, on to the beer:

This is a very dark velvet red color with a little head which withers away quickly. The beer is straightforward tart with a note of cherry, in both aroma and flavor. Perhaps a bit too one-dimensional, though there's plenty of puckering throughout the beer and the beer itself doesn't have any serious flaws. Call it a "simple sour", if you wish, and worth a try when you're palate craves such style .
