Sitting on the bar, beer glows a translucent orange like I Love Lucy on Holiday. Smell is great, smell is super ripe and pungent tropical fruits like Lucille’s pineapples as they soak up the sun. Taste? Wow. I’ve never wanted to vampire bite little Ricky’s mom before, but if the taste matches the smell...

3/17/17 (Tustin Brewery, Tustin), Nice golden color, cistrussy (vinegary hop), crisp and refreshing, and somewhat dry(ish), held up nicely throughout tasting, 4.1

Despite occasional visits to Tustin Brewing Company over the past eight years, my first sip of their Old Town IPA didn't come until recently. To have a couple pints of it in one night should hint at how good it was. On to the beer:
An inch of head forms on top this paler than orange beer. Glows of yellow hues are visible, and the head on top not only retains well, but leaves excellent lacing as well. The beer smells piney, fresh, fruity. Beautiful aromas of orange and pineapple grab the nose and take it to hop heaven. Not to be overshadowed, the taste is clean and piney, but also bringing along orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and a light malt sweetness. The beer doesn't come out as bitter, and its medium full body provide an exciting IPA for those who desire those little green flowers.
