Poured into a pint glass. A typical stout appearance, nearly opaque dark brown with a medium sized tan head. Good staying power. Aroma was mainly milk chocolate with faint vanilla. I didn’t get much coffee the taste differed. As billed, there was a rich brownie flavor, thanks to the vanilla and lactose. The coffee was there as well. Full bodied and sweet but not overly so. Nicely done.

Appearance - Pours black with cola brown edging and a frothy, light tan, finger width head that displays good retention before peeling away to a thin, consistent layer of suds that thicken up as it approaches the edge of the glass. A dozen or so small spots make up the lace, though most slide down in slug-like fashion back into the drink.
Smell - The aroma is primarily milk chocolate and vanilla sweetness, with a touch of roasted edge. The lactose creaminess opens up on the nose as the brew warms, giving this a 'chocolate milkshake' like aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Rich chocolate milkshake like character. Cream and vanilla undertones. Very distant roast; more dark chocolate than anything. Though it's ultimately on the sweeter spectrum, there's enough cream and darker edge to keep it fairly balanced.
Mouthfeel - Medium-to-full in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Creamy, almost velvety texture makes this an easy drinker with a clean, slightly dry finish.
Overall - Damn tasty, though it drinks more akin to a chocolate milkshake than it does a brownie. One I'd definitely seek out again, whether that be during a trip to SoCal or in another trade.

super thin (considering the abv), slightly creamy, very flavorful (in the way of a grandma-baked brownie), and a hammer of a punch in the alcohol dept... super easy to drink and super tasty!
