I stopped in on a mini-vacation. The place is quite new, and dramatic, with lots of windows and new timber construction. I was surprised how large and busy it was. There is a mezzanine you can walk around the lower restaurant, as well as the beer packaging area and some of the processing areas. Several private rooms, as well as an outdoors patio for for functions. We arrived just before noon on a Saturday, to be greeted with "Do you have a reservation?" for the restaurant. Who heard of a reservation for a craft brewery restaurant in the middle of nowhere? Fortunately we got a seat at a high table in the bar area, and enjoyed a flight of four beers (Shindig, Kelly's Contraption, McNall's Mission and Lorna Bray Fly Girl), along with a burger made with local ingredients and a desert. The burger was amazing, tasty, cooked right and not greasy. There was a rutabaga festival going on in town, so some of the menu items featured rutabagas, including a nice soup. The brewery is very environmentally friendly (CO2 neutral, zero discharge, trees planted in proportion to the trees cut down for the structure), including recharging stations for electric cars out front. A lot of money has gone into the design and construction, both from a functionality and aesthetics viewpoint. The place was packed, and well worth the visit. but according to the hostess, reservations are always recommended.
