Pours a chill-hazed amber with a thumb of cream colored head. Nice head retention & lacing, the only thing they got right on this beer
S: Malty. toasty
T: Toasty, grassy, a little dry & a touch of woody hops up front. Sweet breadyness, grassyness & dryness as this beer warms up; a trace of pine late. Finishes dry tastes like 3 day old unsweetened ice tea, lots of astringency
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, skews too sweet. Carbonation gets more prickly as this warms up
I would've guessed this was an amber ale, just doesn't scream IPA to me, a dud to me. No freshness dates, so no slack from me. Ended up being a drain pour

12oz can, Duvel tulip, no freshness dating (I guess you can get away with this in a craft market like Arkansas).
Dark copper, slightly hazy beer with a creamy off-white head.
Pine heavy, grapefruit, slight garlic, and caramel malt.
Same same with the aroma.
Light-medium body with moderate creamy carbonation.
This is definitely a classic American IPA as the can says. The flavor and malt is spot on.

A: Pours a clear copper/orange color. A one finger white head forms, and recedes in a minute. Light lace is left behind.
S: Citrus, pine, light floral aromas. Then soapy hops, which kind of takes over. This is pretty by the books.
T: Like the nose, just kind of average. Citrus, pine, floral hops that are pretty standard. The hops become soapy, and detracts for me. Some caramel malts, and lingering bitterness.
M/O: A medium body and moderate carbonation. A slick, oily, soapy feel. A pretty standard IPA that I don't find a lot to bring me back. Though enjoyable for a pint.
I can't say this is something that would stand out on its own if not at the brewery. A pretty standard, by the books IPA. Nothing special, buy serviceable. I don't mind by the books, if the hops are bright and clean. Though, I don't really get that here.

Pours to a generous buff head that lasts and laces; copper color. Aroma is a balanced blend of strong citrus, fruity/floral hops and clean sweet base malts. Flavor is dry and crisp and hoppy but not extremely bitter. You can actually taste the bread and biscuits of the malt. Clean bracing finish. easy on the tongue. Very well executed American IPA.
