A light copper pour with a finger of head. Not much lacing left behind. Simcoe hops hit the nose right away, pungent pine and grapefruit. The flavor is spot on. Simcoe hops hit up front with a soapy citrusy bitterness, a slight bit of caramel hits you for a second when the back of e palate is completely taken over by more hops.
Medium in body with a good amount of carbonation. This is the second ipa I have from real ale and it's again one of the best ones I've had, period.

12 oz. bottle, with 'best if consumed by' date of 01/21/2015 printed on the back label. My first beer from Real Ale Brewing Co., acquired as an extra via my first trade with Texan956. Thank you, sir. "Edition No. 010".

Poured into a clear balloon snifter.

A - Pours a good coppery orange colored body with some nice clarity to it. About a finger of off-white head that leaves behind good scattered lacing. Looks about average, but it looks very nice.

S - Smell is comprised of juicy earthy piney hops, grapefruit, oranges / tangerines, caramel malt, and some soapiness. Floral and tropical smelling. A fairly average smelling IPA, but it smells very fresh and appealing.

T - The taste follows the nose - this is more or less just another nice IPA, nothing very "Double" or "Imperial" about this IPA. No massively amped up malt or hop content. Very juicy / floral / herbal hop content though - pine needles, tangerine, orange rinds, grapefruit. Bready caramel malt to balance things out. Tastes very nice.

M - The feel is crisp and clean, with good hop resins / bitterness clinging to the palate. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Overall, a slightly above average IPA from Real Ale, but a very nicely made one at that. Simple, yet delicious and drinkable, with a well hidden abv (7.50% abv according to BeerAdvocate; not listed anywhere on the bottle). A nice IPA, glad to have tried it, but it isn't something I would seek out again.
