a really nice ipa here, pretty new school on the hop profile it seems, but also insanely fresh, so that could be a factor too, overall one of the better beers i had from these guys on my visit to texas. this is a little more blonde than many, nice and clear, and with an awesome aroma of grapefruit, honey, and honeydew melon, juicy and fresh but without the classic mosaic citra fruity complex, something more unique than that, especially these days, this really stands out. the grain adds some body but not a lot of flavor and no sugar at all, but there is a floral honey note in the flavor here as there is in the nose. i really dig the hop flavor, juicy citrus, light juniper, botanical freshness and enough bitterness to make it a little snappy in the finish, fermented down to mostly dry, with great carbonation and an alive feel to it. it warms up better than most too, becoming a little more oily from the hops but staying well proportioned. this is clean and drinkable and really well done. id love to know the mix of hops here...

I'm surprised to see only moderate ratings for this beer as my wife and I both find it be sooo tasty and boozy. My guess as to why isn't quality control as much as quantity control. We've seen Real Ale Brewing Co brews right at the 6 month mark, or worse, a couple of months beyond it in stores way too often. If within 3 or 4 months, this is one of my faves.
Oh -those cascade (I think. West Coasty, at least) hops are what drives this thing. And the price tends to be south of other competitors, in my experience.

Pours out a hazy amber color. Head is white with little retention. No lacing.
The nose bitter tropical fruits. Orange and lemon zest are present but also has a sharp pine type quality
The taste is definitely tropical. Bitter sweet orange and a lemon peel bitterness. Delicious.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and well carbonated. Goes down smooth and leaves you wanting more.

12oz bottle Best Before July 3, 2018
Pours a golden color IPA with a slight haze, unfiltered. 1/4" white head falls to a cap and denser ring on edge. Some lacing.
Citrus fruit / tropical fruit all up in the front and candy like malts way in the back. Hop vehicle.
Ripe fruit. Orange fruit and peel. Late piney bitterness. Some tropical fruit flavors as well...also ripe.
Medium to full body, lingering bitterness. Carbonation is right.
OK - it's a little (maybe alot) ripe for my tastes.

First IPA from Texas I’ve had and I’m pleasantly satisfied with it. Nice pour. Cheers.

Amazing lacing. Citrusy. Not too bitter. Best finish of an ipa I’ve ever had and I’ve had my shares of IPAs.
