A dark amber beer with a thin head. Darker than most oktoberfest beers around. Has a little more of a tasted taste on it. After taste has a burnt malt taste that comes off a little odd and lingers for a while. Comes off a little thin on the body. Overall a decent marzen beer but there are better options out there.

Pours out a deep amber. Smells toasty, grainy, and cardboard-y. That toast and graininess is way up front in the taste. I get some of the classic Marzen flavors underneath that: some breadiness and caramel sweetness, but the initial characteristics take over. Mouthfeel is kind of slick and the carbonation is too sharp. This isn't particularly good; not at all, really.

This is a good Oktoberfest beer.

I'll say as far as Texas versions I prefer Saint Arnold's version over this one, and Karbach Karbachtoberfest over Saint Arnolds.

This one seems to have the most bitterness, though it is still smooth overall.

An easy to drink beer and certainly something to look forward to come the fall each year.

Pours a somewhat cloudy dark golden into a pint glass. Not much head, thin lacing. Very malty, a tad bitter, and a little fruity sweet. Kind of a mixed bag. Not bad,but better Octoberfests available.

Tried on tap at the Rockwall Flying Saucer. Pours orangish amber, about like you would expect an Oktoberfest to look. Smell is malty with a little sweetness. Taste is similar. Not the best Oktoberfest out there, but a good representation of the style that will not disappoint you.
