If you want to define a Texas Pilsener, this is it. It's bigger, bolder, and a little more bitter than most, but it suits us just fine.

Head: Healthy foam leading to consistent lacing.

Aroma: Earthy, grassy. Definitely a lawnmower beer.

Flavor: Honeysuckle water, sweet floral, with just enough bitterness to give it an edge.

Mouthfeel: Light and fizzy, with just enough maltiness to balance refreshing with satisfying.

Overall: This could be the truest Texas beer out there. Try it with smoked brisket and tell me it's wrong.

Clear, golden color with a beautifuly persistent  lacining. Well balanced with the hops just pushing forward. A nice bitter aftertaste mingles with a rich, malty sweetness and leaves me wanting more. Not as crisp as some pilsners, but it's mellow, medium body is very drinkable.

Pour reveals a hazy golden straw-colored beer with a slightly off-white head. Gorgeous beer.

Aromas are grassy hops and bready malts - perfect. The taste is very rich for a 5.3% beer, with the hops maintaining the grassy note, and adding a slightly floral character, but not overwhelming the pilsner malt. Just a fantastic lawnmower beer, IMHO.

Appearance: Hazy medium golden color, with a moderate, dense white head, which retains well. Thick, fine-beaded lacing adorns the glass walls.

Aroma: White bread and unsalted saltines vie with lemon zest and floral hops.

Taste: Opens with slightly tart and sour notes. As the taste progresses, earthy hops vie for supremacy with cracker malt winning out. Finishes with tangy lemon riind notes.

Mouth feel: Full and pleasant, very soft,

Drinkability/notes: Exceptionally drinkable, very pleasant, a refreshing alternative to the syrupy sweet malternatives offered in Summer.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Clear, straw yellow pour into a glass from a can, nice head and good, steady carbonation. Wonderful, bright aroma that is equal parts sweet and crisp. This is an excellent indicator of the flavor, which was crisp, sweet, electric and had a nice bite to it that didn't linger overlong. This is a beer made to cool off on hot days, a great beer to relax with.
