Tried at Guru Burger in Sugar Land, Texas.

One of the best beers of this style I have ever had. It's sweet, but just the right amount to me. I wish this one was going into their regular lineup... would be great if it did in the future. I really loved this beer.

On tap at Hay Merchant in Houston.

A: Pours a clear ruby red color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Sweet malt up front and center. Burnt caramel sweetness. Light toasted grains. Burnt sugars. Very sweet with a bit of solvent alcohol in the nose.
T: Very sweet. Pretty much cloying. Burnt caramel malt, and brown sugar.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. A on the thin side for the style. There is some solvent like alcohol, and the sweetness is cloying. A very slow sipper for me.

This is just to sweet for my tastes. Seems just a bit under attenuated. Not one of Real Ales better Anniversary offerings.
