"This is Lost Gold IPA aged for six months in oak barrels and infused with wild yeast from around the brewery."

Thanks to errl for sharing this growler.

The beer pours a yellow-orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of brett and wheat, with some lemon and orange notes coming through. The flavor is similar. The orange citrus notes mix well with the leathery brett notes. I also get some grass and a hint of toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Nice funky nose with Brett, lemon and hay, citrus hops, too. Lightly tart taste with funk and cirtrus and flowers. Moderate bitterness, dry finish.

A: Pale gold and cloudy. Minimal head, dissipating quickly.

S: Very appealing notes of citrus and brett. Very promising!

T: The taste delivers! If you like the Real Ale Lost Gold IPA and you like wild ales, you're going to dig this one. Citrus (mainly orange, lemon, a bit of tangerine) and wonderfully balanced brett notes (damp hay and soured oak). Not overpowering, and not nearly as bitter as many IPAs, but still quite hoppy.

M: Medium body and carbonation. Not as carbonated as most IPAs of this abv, but I don't feel the ale suffers too much. A bit more sparkle would have been appreciated.

O: Very nice indeed! So nice, I had two at Oak Street Draft House in Denton, TX. Thrilled to have crossed paths with this nicely soured IPA.
