Notes: The hop combination of Azacca and Simcoe creates a unique and intense mix of tropical fruit flavors up front with a creamy mellow finish.

Cloudy, dark gold color. The initial head lasts throughout the tasting, settling in a lumpy fashion. It leaves rings of lace with nice latticework in between.

The initial aroma has a pleasant freshly cut hop nose. Overall, the smell is mellow with a good malt base.

The taste is surprisingly more like an APA than a DIPA, meaning that it is well blended without an alcohol presence. The body leans toward rich; the carbonation leans toward muted. This is a smooth beer. It's slightly sweet and slightly bitter. The aftertaste, while not lasting a long time, perfectly balanced. Simply put, this is a superior beer.

OK, I'll admit it: how can anyopne resist trying something called "Vito the Beer Whale Cat"??
Undated can into pint glass. Pours a very cloudy dark straw color with a modest off-white head that dissipates quickly. Initial impression is orange, grapefruit, mango, pine, with a nice malt balance. Alcohol is not at all evident. Mouthfeel is juicy and creamy, with perfect carbonation. Finish is smooth, fruity, juicy, sort of sweetish, but with a slight lingering bitterness.
First beer from Fat Orange Cat, and it's a good one!

This is a very simple and easy to consume DIPA, that offers a nice balance but not too much in terms of complexity, hence making it a nice choice to combine with food. Mild bitterness and a light sweet malt flavor profile that works well flavor wise.
