Pours a perfectly clear straw color (there is some slight haze on subsequent pours) with a sizzling white head. Absolutely gorgeous beer.

The nose has “da funk” ubiquitous with the style, and there’s tart fruity aromas and a bit of lemon. The tart fruit comes across as green apple on the taste, and there’s ample lemon flavor as well to accompany the funky flavor - and just a smidge of black pepper at the end of the taste. Wow.

The mouthfeel is clean, crisp, and effervescent. This is in league with the H-F saisons. I don’t say that lightly.

Pours a pale golden with white head, retention is kind of weak. Retention is adequate though not outstanding. Lemony citrus character on the nose. There's a light lemony citrus tartness up front, not at all puckering. It gives way to a touch of lime zest. It's not too tart and quite balanced.

Batch 4. Pours a clear straw like color with a fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Smells inviting, with hints of the tartness to come. Taste is crisp and clean with just the right amount of tart. This goes down extremely easily, and is a fantastic beer that reminds me of Hill Farmstead.

Blend/batch #4.

This one pours a very pale straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

There's some lemony funk, grassy funk, pale citrus, oak, and white wine on the nose.

This beer is mostly defined by how soft it is - it drinks like a funky little cloud. There's a soft and citrusy brett character, with some floral tastes, a bit of oak, some grassy funk, and lemon/grapefruit rind. It has just the right amount of tartness for me.

This is soft, with a nice citrusy and crisp mouthfeel, and a high level of drinkability. The carb level feels perfect.

This is extremely well put together. Fox Farm is doing some great things so far.

From a 750ml bottle, undated. Batch #3 which was, what? a few weeks ago? Anyway, served in a cervoise.

Pours a super-pale yellow, paler than ginger ale, with a couple of fingers of rocky, white head, leaving a fizzy cap.

Nose is sharp and bretty with a pleasant lemon-creme aroma.

Taste is mouth-puckeringly tart, certainly tarter than the nose led me to expect. Bright lemon dominates the palate but there’s a slight rice wine vinegar sort of edge and just a hint of something grassy and maybe garlicky.

Feel starts crisp, clean and light-bodied but my perception of it changes to creamy-slick and medium bodied as it drinks down. Carbonation is fine and bright.

Overall, an enjoyable saison of the rather tart and lemony sort.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with over an inch of creamy white head. Some lacing. Funky aroma of straw, grassy hops, pepper, hay and some light lemon. The taste is funky and tart with some lemon, grapefruit, hay, peach and grass. Finishes with some peach, pepper, lemon and funk. Light and crisp with low carbonation. This is a solid choice for a warm weather beer. Overall, very good Saison I'll be drinking much more of.
