The only negative thing I can say about the place is they're closed on Sunday. Beautiful space converted from an old bowling alley. Lanes are incorporated into the bar. They may have a little bit of an acoustics issue, it can get relatively loud, but they're aware of it. Service is at the bar and has been top notch the four times I've been. The brewer/owner is evidently, an accomplished and long time home brewer, certified beer judge and industry consultant. It is evident in the beer. I've had the Pale, IPA, DIPA, Porter, Black Ale and the Amber and all were spot on. At a lot of young places there seems to be a common taste across the beer line up, but that's not the case here. In light of all the bad breweries popping up manned by relatively inexperienced home brewers, I imagine this guy said "wtf I might as well open a place and show them how it's done".

Cool little brewpub on the corner, open and airy. Small bar opposite the entry seats about 10 with a dozen tables, a lounge area, and a sidewalk cafe like area. 9 beers on tap, I had the Sergeant Reckless, and it was solid. Friendly server. I did not try the food.

Although parking could get tight in their own parking lot, the downtown is not so big as one could not find a spot near buy.
The place very clean, music playing was good, I was greeted by nice staff like, Dan the bartender. All my samples tasted spot on and had good lace on the glass. I loved their barrel aged RIS Stout. Its worth the trip if your in the deep south Subs of Chicago.
