A Mackinaw Brewing Favorite - we wouldn’t dream of changing this auburn beauty. A rich malty red ale that goes great with any dinner or appetizer.

After a night enjoying Kalamazoo Bell's amber, this one just did not stack up. Actually can smell and taste the alcohol with this one, I would be interested in knowing its ABV. No real carbonation or head to speak of. Probably my least favorite from the sampler of seven selections.

Look: Slightly hazy dark orange. One finger of fizzy white head that quickly dissipates.
Smell: Sweet malt with cherry.
Taste: Toasted malt, rapidly fading into a grainy aftertaste. Extremely low bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Full with very high carbonation.
Overall: A nice toasty beer for a cold day.
