Pulpy yellowish-orange brew, opaque in thicker glasses and hazily translucent in thinner glasses. Pours a big, frothy, snow white head with excellent retention and lacing.

Huge hop aromas leap forth from the pour: pineapple, mango, oregano, peach, star fruit, black pepper, and berries, all floating atop a honey-cracker malt base.

Sweet, juicy, hoppy, and herbal on the palate, matching the nose stride for stride. Oregano, mint, and basil; honey; pineapple, mango, star fruit, peaches, and lighter berry impressions. Deliciously hoppy brew.

Smooth, lively, creamy, and active. This brew perfectly straddles the line between a crisp and stingy single IPA and a sticky smooth DIPA. Modestly dry finish. Fairly low - but not absent - bitterness.

A nearly flawless DIPA in the NE style, but with a crisp herbal bite more commonly found in modern West Coast IPAs. An absolute joy to drink.

Appearance - Pours hazy and sunset orange in color with a white, finger width head. Decent retention, then dissipates to a broken layer of white suds on top. Fair lacing, mostly made up of broken lines and spotting.

Smell - Aroma hits on notes of orange with lesser pine, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, stone fruit pit nuttiness and a touch of apricot.

Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy orange with lesser mango hit first. Stonefruit pit nuttiness and a touch of pine mid-taste, along with passionfruit and peach. Zingy pineapple as the finish approaches, with a lingering citrus pith bitterness and pineapple buzz that rings strongly in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy drinker turns slightly chalky and dry in the finish.

Overall - A damn tasty NE-Style DIPA. A bit more pine and dryness than expected, but nothing too overkill. Overall a treat, and a welcomed brew to the Sacramento beer scene. Hard to say if I like this more than Yojo, because it's basically a more intense version, but damn are they a great 1-2 punch combo.

the aroma is of over ripe pungent peaches,pineapple...the taste is mango/peach juice with the most creamiest mouth feel, with a nice herbal/green basil Finnish.

Pours a turbid peach color with a frothy white head. Nose is of pale malts, tropical fruit and citrus pith. Taste of mellow mangos, grapefruit pith, light pinnaple and sticky malt. A bit of light grass/earthyness in there too. Medium creamy body with nice pungent citrus rine bitter finish.

At the brewery, on tap...

Drawn by the beertender into a Moonraker snifter, this is a hazy toasted straw colored Double IPA. The head on this pour was bright white about 1/4' deep that lingered long enough to invite you to drink of the hoppy brew.

The aroma teases of exotic citrus, tropical fruits, pear and apricot with pine accents somewhat subdued.

The first taste fulfills the promise delivered by the aromas with fresh juiced citrus, hints of mango and peach, perhaps some tangerine and, of course a brief essence of pine. The citrus is dominate and lingers creating a pleasant aftertaste which begs another sip.

I found this DIPA to be of medium body with perfect levels of carbonation. It is very drinkable with the combination of hop note and alcohol content creating a slightly dry feel in the finish.

This beer is a must try for any who appreciate the style.

Pours a big creamy fluffy head fades at a med pace nice lacing, very hazy murky golden honey orange color

Nose big pine and onion again, herbal tea, some orange and citrus, little pith and plenty of cracker wheat,

Taste more pine sap and onion but less thankfully, little pithy citrus, little tangerine and papaya, bitter mild herbal spicy hop, little pine sap later, more cracker malt bready and fair sweetness.

Mouth is med bod little creamy hint of booze, decent fluffy carb

Overall eh, big pine sap onion to start thankfully fades but initially bad

The beer comes in a bright light to medium gold color, medium plus haze.

The flavor explodes of cantaloupe, apricot, pineapple, navel orange, sweet lemon, barely any malt to speak of with a whisper of grain and breadiness, a touch of sweetness lingering, but barely any bitterness and aftertaste to speak of. Creamy mouthfeel with a medium mouthfeel, but barely drinks as a DIPA with hints of alcohol moving down as the only hint that this is a DIPA.
