Thanks to rudzud
Decent creamy head fades quickly, decent lacing, super murky milkshake orange pear color.

Nose mixed citrus fruit and a little earthy spicy, orange cream juice, tangerine, creamy little cracker malt and dough,

Taste little creamy malt, oats, wheat etc, little cracker malt note, big citrus, orange cream, juicy orange, little tangerine, generic fruity bubblegum, little bitter pith and rind. Finish little sticky creamy etc.

Mouth is med bod creamy, lighter carb, no booze.

Overall pretty good, nice citrus and base malt, light carb like all their beers, pretty good though

Canned on date of 12/22/16

Appearance - Pours opaquely hazed and dulled orange in color with an off-white, finger width head. Sub-par retention, resulting in a broken layer of surface suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing save a spot or two.

Smell - Juicy as hell aroma consisting of orange, mango, passionfruit, peach, subtle spice and a yeasty, bready undertone.

Taste - Follows the nose. Super juicy upfront and throughout. Orange, mango, passionfruit, a slight pineapple zing and faint pine. Bready undertone. Yeast character. Hints of black pepper spice. Finishes with all that juicy goodness lingering well after the sip, especially that pineapple zing.

Mouthfeel - Medium-to-full in body with moderate, slightly bitey carbonation. Somewhat creamy texture; goes down super smooth. Slight chalkiness in the finish from the yeast.

Overall - You can call this Dojo 2.0, as this was based on Yojo 2.0's recipe. Whatever you wanna call it, just know that it is fantastic. I've probably written this on another Moonraker review, but they do NE-style IPAs as good or better than most of the NE area breweries. This one is no exception.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.

S: Big time citrus and tropical fruit show, backed biscuity malt and caramel sweetness.

T: Blast of tropical fruit and citrus, mango, passion fruit, peach, apricot, orange, lemon lime, and grapefruit, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: Pure citra and amarillo juice.

Pours a hazy peach to straw yellow. A nice white head that laces the glass nicely. Nose is of mangos, pinnaple and light citrus. Taste follows the nose. Lots of fresh mangos, pinnaple, papaya and citrus peel. Nice moderate bitterness to it. Medium to light body. Very smooth and juicy. Nice beer from Moonraker

Can dated 12/23/16 into a Speigelau IPA glass. Pours a hazy opaque amber bronze with a finger of low density white head that quickly dissipates and left minimal to no lacing. Nose is very pleasant with some sweetness, mucho tropical with little other attributes, lots of mango, apricot, and peach. Taste mirrors the nose almost identically. Finishes very clean with mild bitterness and minimal astringency. Mouthfeel is great, soft and creamy, subtle tingling from the carbonation and perhaps contributions from the 8.5% ABV.

Up until now, the best beer I'd had from Moonraker was YOJO Part Deux (which I guess they renamed to Hermit). This recipe builds upon all the things I liked in that recipe but added more balance and depth while maintaining the great mouthfeel. Far and away the best beer I've had from them to date. They really are one of the best things going right now in Northern CA.

Update - Opened a can from the 12/22/16 canning date and wanted to provide an update. I feel this beer may be very sensitive to aging. I found this can lacking the dynamic characteristics of the freshly canned beer, and the draught pour I had two days prior at Moonraker. Perhaps it's just a poor seal/partial oxidation, but I was a bit disappointed. Hoping this is an isolated incident given the quality of the beer.

Update - Cans from their 1st Anniversary weekend. Reaffirmed that this is their best beer for my palate, and easily the best mouthfeel of any of their NE-style recipes. While Citra Double Crush showed that they may have some chance to change that if they brew a Mosaic Double Crush, this beer still reigns supreme for my palate from their lineup.
