Super cloudy dark orange with a fat finger of lightly yellowed head. Decent retention and thick rings of lacing.
Big, creamy orange and mango in the nose with tropical flowers behind. Maybe a hint of strawberry-banana tropical Starburst, too.
Really creamy tasting. More tropical than citrusy to my palate; definitely more mango-forward than the aroma. Some burnt herb in the finish balanced against the sweetness.
Thick-bodied, creamy feel with tight carbonation.
A very nice tropical Double NEIPA balanced somewhat with some light herbal bitterness.

Man as I approach the 3000 review # on this account, I keep doing reviews of beers that are 1st tier world class stuff, I need to save something special for #3000? Nah. Anyways, pours an almost straw yellow with slight haze and 1/3" of white head. Aroma pops citra hop hard, light citrus and melon.
Taste is amazing, has a light body, not heavy at all, hides alcohol well and drops substantial amounts of honeydew melon, mango, papaya and tangerine. This is so soft, hardly any bitterness, makes you wonder if they are using flaked oats, so damn smooth, no alcohol bite. Just wave after wave of delicious citra hops, minimalistic body. You'd have no problem drinking these in hot weather.
Kinda pissed these guys got so popular in less than a year. Fucking lines already.

A: The beer is very hazy and a darker shade of yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the edges of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of lychee towards the finish. A light to moderate amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount fo carbonation.
O: This beer has the depth of hop aromas and flavors that you would expect from a Double IPA with the drinkability of a IPA.

On tap at Tin Bucket the other day.
The pours a hazy golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is pretty impressive in this beer, as I pick up considerable tropical fruit, pithy grapefruit, and some noticeable dankness and light pine. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, though I thought it a bit simple and one dimensional on the palate. Still, the beer delivers a lot of flavor, and there's some noticeable bitterness in the finish that helps to keep things interesting (and tends to balance the sweet tropical fruit pretty nicely). Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, and so drinkability is pretty good in this beer.
A nice enough hazy DIPA, though I'm not sure I understand some of the extremely high ratings for this beer. It's a very nice DIPA, but not what I would call/consider a standout.

Can dated 041917 into a tulip glass.
L: Pours murky copper orange with 3 fingers of medium density white head with moderate retention and left ringed and spotted lacing.
S: Great nose, moderately dynamic, very tropical. Plenty of cantaloupe, nectarine, apricot, and passion fruit, some guava, and floral undertones as it warms.
T: Follows the nose well, buts adds in some citrus. Finishes very juice-like, minimal bitterness, moderate astringency that lingers a bit on my palate.
F: Lighter bodied, medium-high carbonation, overall a silky/velvety feels but with some tingling of the lips and tongue from the astringency.
O: Damn good brew! Since the Mosaic version of their 'Crush' series is by far my favorite I can only hope that it's double recipe will be as fine as this beer. They keep cranking out damn solid-to-great beers, very happy for their success.

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25
Canned date of 04/19/17
Appearance - Pours hazy and dull orange in color with a white, quarter-finger width head that dissipate almost instantly, leaving a near barren surface with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Citrusy, more orange than anything, with pineapple acidity. Faint grain.
Taste - Follows the nose. Orange, tangerine and pineapple with lesser pine and earth. Slight spice bite. Finish is mild pith and spice left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with lightly bitey carbonation. Slick, smooth and a touch creamy texture develops into a finish that's slightly dry and yeasty.
Overall - Certainly better than the single Citra Crush. I'm not so sure it's better than the Mosaic Crush, but it's at least right there with it. Juicy. Slightly earthy. All-around delicious.

My first beer from these guys, this is named very appropriately. Pour is a murky golden color with a tight, off-white head. The aromas whop you upside the head with loads of citrus and that oniony thing you find with some Citra-hopped DIPA's. My mouth is officially now watering.
The taste is dank hops, with oranges and passion fruit serving as the ringleaders in this flavor circus. There's literally no malt to be found, but there is a bit of a bite in the mouthfeel, which surprised me, and there's some booze at the WAAAAY back of the taste.
Really well-executed and crushable DIPA from a brewer new to me. Glad I took a shot at this.

Canned 2/27/18; drank 3/16/18 @ the Yarchives. 8.5% on this can, with different art than shown here.
Opaque bright orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big, bright white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Orange citrus, mild grapefruit & wheat notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Orange & citrus & mild grapefruit flavors up front; cane sugar & dry wheat notes on the finish. No booze heat.
Bold & fruity with a dry ballast; well above average for the genre. One of the better Moonraker IPA's I've had.

Hazy, pulpy, nearly opaque dark orange brew; peach-like color. Big frothy head with excellent retention and lacing.
Restrained hoppy aroma. Lemon drops, pineapple, mango, mandarin orange, and ruby red grapefruit.
Wonderfully juicy DIPA, but without smacking you in the face with hops or bitterness. Mango, orange, pineapple, and lemon juice; sweet bread and crackers; slightly resinous notes. Not the most complex flavor profile, but a really lovely one.
Creamy and smooth mouthfeel, carrying just enough bite and heat to remind you that it's 8% ABV.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Heavenly, ripe tropical fruit and citrus jump out of the glass, held together with some biscuity malt and caramel sweetness.
T: Juicy tropical fruit and citrus, mango, tangerine, passion fruit, grapefruit, a hint of lychee, backed with biscuity malt, and some caramel sweetness. Just a touch of alcohol can sneak through.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, dangerously drinkable.
O: Was there any doubt that Moonraker wasn't going to make an amazing all Citra beer?
