Notes:
Imperial stout aged over one year in a combination of rum, bourbon and whiskey barrels. We searched our rackhouse for our finest spirits barrel-aged imperial stouts and created a blend that oozes with velvety aromas of vanilla, coconut, and oak layered on top of decadent flavors of brown sugar, warm brownies and dark cocoa.

This beer is typical in look, very dark, but not much head. Excellent aroma, mostly the liquor barrels, esp. the rum, also with some brown sugar and a little dark fruits. The taste is similar, but not as well integrated. It's a bit of a muddle when it comes to the taste. Overall, it's not as outstanding as many Alesong beers, I have to say.

Pretty tasty. Lasting lacing, more of a dark cocoa with tan edging. Smell of sweet dark fruit with a mild malt and barrel background. Taste is sweet, notes of licorice, cinnamon, molasses, and honey, a bit of vanilla and a slight barrel tang. Medium bodied, well rounded, not as boozy as advertised. A more subtle barrel aged stout than most.

This would be so much cooler if I could see what I was typing… Because this is a pretty damn good imperial Stout and is one of the best so far at the 2019 Boise imperial stout tasting

Solid BA stout - on the sweet side, not overwhelmingly barrel and boozy given that it's aged in multiple barrels. I haven't had a bad brew from Alesong.
